My Week(327) in iPhone Photos

Saturday, February 11th, 2017

I was in a hurry to get this done because I thought I was still 2 weeks behind but that’s only because this week has been unbelievably long. I’m doing Weight Watchers again, and while I know it’s good for me, it means I literally just think about food all the time. Like right now. Fooooood.

Sunday:

So many couch naps this week

It turns out if you fold all the clothes, they DO fit in the drawer

Shopping buddies

Monday:

Nappy while the robot vacuum cleans

Napping while the baby naps

This is giving me life now

Tuesday:

Circle of neglect

Dentist day

This is the year they love the snow

Wednesday:

He threw a fit about something so I took his picture but that makes him smile

REALLY CONFUSED by that toy screwdriver

Trying to eat the cat

Thursday:

Coffee making chaos

Bathtime chaos

Happy fat baby

Friday:

He stole my phone, so there are 200 of these

Linc decided he loves hats

Cuddles

Saturday:

Picking out colors for their shelves

And then I took a nap, so I didn’t take any more pictures. The end.

I have made actual, discernable progress towards making my house into a place I like instead of just a place I live. As soon as I can talk my husband into helping me move the guest room furniture I can move most of the toys up there and then on the days when I can’t handle the mess I can just…shut the door. I’m very excited.

Tuesday, January 10th, 2017

Welp, it’s officially the part of winter that tries to kill me every year. It is dark. It is cold. I have two small children who can’t be outside long enough for me to get more than 10 minutes of sunlight, and 10 minutes is not enough sunlight. I don’t like babywearing when it’s slippery. I don’t like driving in the snow or rain. Basically, I just stay home and wallow and eat too many cookies and pray for April.

Sunday:

My Week(319) in iPhone Photos

Tuesday, December 20th, 2016

I was looking for an old post on the blog this week and ended up scrolling through tons of these iPhone photo posts from weeks 210-220. It was SO fun to see what we were doing 100 weeks ago (Evan was getting head stitches, I wore Lincoln in a lot of wraps, Caroline smiled). So even though this is a full 2 weeks late, I’m vowing to catch up and do better in 2017.

Sunday:

Baking day!

Helpers

Most of these are gone now.

Monday:

You go to the bus stop, I’ll stay on the porch out of the snow.

Penguin wearing

More cooking

Thursday:

I keep wearing this kid so I never get to wear the baby

Cookie makers

Friday:

Snoozing through the Velvet Mill Holiday Market

Stuffing his face with dinner cupcake

Saturday:

They asked me to take their picture and posed

Again, this was at Caroline’s request

BEBEH SUSPENDERS

That last picture is from the day we took our family photos so I could order Christmas cards. Today, most people should GET our Christmas cards in the mail, thanks to my quick editing, remembering to buy stamps last week, and Minted’s amazing addressing service (not sponsored, I paid them a ton of money for cards, but the envelope address printing is SO WORTH IT). Almost all the wrapping and gift buying is done too, so most of this week I just get to relax and do Christmasy stuff like more baking, planning fancy Christmas appetizers, and watching Christmas movies. I might even get a long winter’s nap or too, because E has most of the week off. IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR.

Happy Thanksgiving! I’m a little late and fully into Christmas mode now, which is my favorite part of the year. I’d like to just live in the 4 weeks before Christmas forever. We had friends here for the holiday and it was so, so great. They did so much work/child entertaining that it felt like a vacation instead of hosting.

For the record, I am still sick. It’s now been 4 weeks with the cough, that has now become a sinus infection, most likely an ear infection and a weird painful bump on the roof of my mouth the internet tells me is probably related. I’m almost desperate enough to go to the doctor, although I’m still 90% sure they’ll say “it’s a virus, nothing we can do”. Maybe just MAKING an appointment will scare the virus into going away. I’m pretty sure that’s how viruses work.

GIANT BIRD WATCH OUT FOR THE GIANT BIRD

There is no snow in the current forecast. I feel very hopeful that we might actually get some spring in the near future, or at least less snow. I can’t handle much more snow. I’m too pregnant for snow. My entire maternity wardrobe is maxi dresses and cardigans, so it has to be at least 60 degrees as soon as possible. OK THANKS GOOD TALK.
