Hi. I’m pregnant.I had a baby on April 5th, 2009. Aaaaaaaand now I’m pregnant again, due December 26th. Now I have another baby, born December 19th, 2010. If it’s a boy we’re considering calling him Jesus. No just kidding. We’re going with Santa. Luckily it was a girl, so we named her Caroline Noelle. My goal is to NOT have a baby in 2011 but I’m not making any promises. I use the strikeout function WAY too much.
Our family, July 2009
I’m also a reader, gardener, dancer, tv-watcher, wife, writer, daughter, interior decorator, photographer, dog walker, cat lover, shoe buyer, sister, knitter, Scrabble player, and baker.
So far, I think I’m balancing everything pretty well, but I could just be kidding myself.
Things I support: moms, wine, cheese, terrible pop music, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, baby-wearing, freedom of choice, shopping locally.
Things I do not support: mean girls, jet skis, hate, fat-free chips, bashing other people’s parenting, Sarah Palin.
A little more, for those who are curious:
I’m 28 years old, married to my husband E since August 2004. We met while I was at college getting my degree in underwater basket weaving communications at the College of Charleston in South Carolina and he was going through training to run nuclear reactors for the Navy. No he does not glow in the dark. After a couple of transfers we ended up in Eastern Connecticut where we got a dog, a Jeep Cherokee and a house. Once we ran out of grown-up things to buy we decided it was about time to work on the bebehs. Now we share our 100-year old Craftsman house with Little Evan & Baby Caroline; our dog Brutus; our cats, Blushes and Rabbit; about a million baby toys and several pounds of pet hair. I’m giving the SAHM thing a try – part desire, part necessity – and I use this blog as my own personal soapbox and brag book. Please send me an email or join in the comments if you have something to say!

If you’re a company or small business who is interested in sending me free stuff to review or give my readers please feel free to email me at bebehblog@gmail.com. My favorite color is pink, but I look best in blue. My very own special addictions are baby carriers and headbands.

Bonjour! No I'm not French, it just sounded fancy. Sorry for the confusion. I'm Suzanne and the star of the show is Little Evan, who is now sharing top billing with Caroline, born December 19, 2010. I love hearing from you so if you have questions, stories or ideas to share, email me at bebehblog at gmail dot com.

I just wanted to say “hi”! Donavon told me about your blog, I was working with her at genzyme until the doc told me to stop working on 3/18. I’m due April 3rd with a girl, Kaylin so I completely understand your misery and frustration. I appreciate how you say things the way they are. You are so funny and awesome. I hope that you are doing okay and hanging in there. This sucks so bad right now. I’m hurting wicked bad mostly in my back, abdomen and pelvic area. Almost done!!! Woohoo!!!!
Progress! Keep up the good work, on all fronts.
LOVE your blog. The subtitle cracks me up. So glad you stopped by mine b/c now I have a fun new blog to read. Nice to “meet” you!
Hmmmmmmmm, really? Well, I am also an avid Scrabble player/knitter/baker who majored in underwater basket weaving. That’s odd. Thank you for representing the non-cookie-cutter SAHM’s who have maintained their sense of humor and sense of self.
Best wishes. Julia
p.s. Since you’ve moved on to Santa, I’m wondering if I could get away with naming my next son Jesus, since I am of Latin descent. You know, as in Hay-Soos. Maybe.
Hi there! I’m a friend (and coworker) of Amy Caruso- or Madamemenu-, and participated in her Cookie Swap with you. I just got your cookies in the mail today, and I have to say they’re delishhhhous! I would have enjoyed them being frosted, but you said something in your note about having a baby? I GUESS I can enjoy them without the frosting (hehe). I hope everything went as well as possible for you and congratulations on the new addition! Your blog is hilarious, and I’ll definately be stopping in more often!
I’m not stalking you, I promise. But I just read this and saw that your hubby is a nuke as well! We’re down in Charleston now!
I love your blog. LOVE. It’s the first thing I read while pumping at work. Anyway, I was looking to make some baby legs for my 3 and a half month-old girl and this made me think of you asking about baby tights.

OK A. love the blog. B. Tried to grab your button, by tried I mean I did and your pic doesn’t appear. Frowny face. So there’s just a space that now says “The image you’re requesting no longer exists.” it’s a dirty lie. WHHHHY?
Hey Suzanne! I’m a relatively new reader (my little girl is only a few wks younger than your Caroline!) and I just started my own Etsy shop. I would love to set up a review/ giveaway with you… but I seem to be a bit slow this morning and can’t find a link to your email… any chance you could direct me that way so I can shoot you some details?
(but really, I do!)
Thanks a bunch, and of course, I love your blog!
Heather
Just saying hi and nice to meet ya! I’m all the way over in Rhode Island. We’re practically neighbors.
I had 4 babies in 5 years so I totally understand your goal of going a whole year without being pregnant.
I’ve been one of the secret lurkers for far too long and now I’m putting it all out there – LOVE your blog and your writing and think you’re hilarious. Although I don’t live in the States anymore I spent almost all of my twenties in CT and have been to your neck of the woods quite a few times. So it’s great to look at your pictures and be able to say “Hey, I have a picture just like that!” (minus the ginger babies and E of course). Well anyway, I’m rambling but please don’t ever stop being smart and funny and keep sharing your stories, can’t get enough of them
Hey there! I enjoy your frank writing style and bubbly personality that comes through in your writing.
I found your blog through blogher, but saw that you also have a Clever Blogger badge on your site. I am just starting out (http://twyste.com) and trying to get a feel for what is best for gaining traffic. Any advice? Please.
