Hi. I’m pregnant.I had a baby on April 5th, 2009. Aaaaaaaand now I’m pregnant again, due December 26th. If it’s a boy we’re considering calling him Jesus. No just kidding. We’re going with Santa.

Our family
I’m also a reader, gardener, dancer, tv-watcher, wife, writer, daughter, interior decorator, photographer, dog walker, cat lover, shoe buyer, sister, knitter, Scrabble player, and baker.
So far, I think I’m balancing everything pretty well, but I could just be kidding myself.
Things I support: moms, wine, cheese, terrible pop music, breastfeeding, cloth diapering, baby-wearing, freedom of choice, shopping locally.
Things I do not support: mean girls, jet skis, hate, fat-free chips, bashing other people’s parenting, Sarah Palin.
A little more, for those who are curious:
I’m 28 years old, married to my husband E since August 2004. We met while I was at college getting my degree in underwater basket weaving communications at the College of Charleston in South Carolina and he was going through training to run nuclear reactors for the Navy. No he does not glow in the dark. After a couple of transfers we ended up in Eastern Connecticut where we got a dog, a Jeep Cherokee and a house. Once we ran out of grown-up things to buy we decided it was about time to work on the bebehs. Now we share our 100-year old Craftsman house with Baby Evan; our dog Brutus; our cats, Blushes and Rabbit; about a million baby toys and several pounds of pet hair. I’m giving the SAHM thing a try – part desire, part necessity – and I use this blog as my own personal soapbox and brag book. Please send me an email or join in the comments if you have something to say!

If you’re a company or small business who is interested in sending me free stuff to review or give my readers please feel free to email me. My favorite color is pink, but I look best in blue. My very own special addiction is baby carriers.

I just wanted to say “hi”! Donavon told me about your blog, I was working with her at genzyme until the doc told me to stop working on 3/18. I’m due April 3rd with a girl, Kaylin so I completely understand your misery and frustration. I appreciate how you say things the way they are. You are so funny and awesome. I hope that you are doing okay and hanging in there. This sucks so bad right now. I’m hurting wicked bad mostly in my back, abdomen and pelvic area. Almost done!!! Woohoo!!!!

Hmmmmmmmm, really? Well, I am also an avid Scrabble player/knitter/baker who majored in underwater basket weaving. That’s odd. Thank you for representing the non-cookie-cutter SAHM’s who have maintained their sense of humor and sense of self.
Best wishes. Julia
p.s. Since you’ve moved on to Santa, I’m wondering if I could get away with naming my next son Jesus, since I am of Latin descent. You know, as in Hay-Soos. Maybe.
