This was The Bad Week. I’m going to do the most recent week’s post tomorrow so I bump it down the page quickly. I still don’t want to talk about it.
Sunday:
Mini sessions day 2

I need at least 3 more weeks of outdoors weather before I’m fully ready to commit to my winter hibernation. Or at a minimum, it needs to not be frigid until after we get the Christmas tree and the lights up. IT’S SOON. SOOOOOOOON.

Sunday:

Our Mystic day started at the aquarium

Tuesday:

Wednesday:

Caroline thinks sitting is boring
LINC THINKS SITTING IS VERY EXCITING
Thursday:
Bed stealer

One Caroline to push 3 babies. She’s got it.
Friday:
So grown
Evan is doing is presentation about Seaport Camp and explaining his picture looks like that because he “only works in black and sometimes very very dark gray”.
Babies do not have good table manners
Saturday (Happy Fourth!!):
The Mayflower!! Linc is unimpressed because he knows it’s a replica.
Matching dresses are awesome
We stayed up waaaaaaay too late
And on that note, I am going to bed. The weekend was fun but exhausting and NO ONE has taken a real nap in more than a week. I need at least 6 hours of sleep in a row if I have any chance of functioning this week. Good night!

Caroline had morning day camp at Mystic Seaport last week, so we were out of the house Doing Stuff almost every day. Doing stuff is really fun, but I might not be up for stuff every day. Maybe every other day. This coming week Evan has full day Seaport Camp, so we’ll do even more stuff. I am both excited and already tired.
Sunday:
Caroline says “Look! You can’t even see me!”
Moon bears
This was not my first time at the zoo, so I brough dry clothes.
Monday:
He dresses himself.
Sleepy baby at camp pick-up
Can’t resist the lake, even when we’re tired
Tuesday:
Bed hog
Evan talked the seaport volunteer into doing ALL the puzzles with him.
He said he missed her while she was at camp
Wednesday:
Cheerios and a double stroller all to himself. SPOILED.
Cool dude
He didn’t even mind coming to dance rehearsal because he got to play Minecraft
Thursday:
Fishing Day at seaport camp
Cotton candy frapp
I am unable to handle Caroline in make up
Friday:

Water baby at the zoo for the second time in a week

I can’t believe it’s already the last week of June. I keep having to triple check the calendar to make sure I’m not on the wrong month. I have less than 4 weeks before Lincoln turns one and before his birthday party. I ordered a ton of birthday stuff but have no actual decorating plans beyond “hang up some sparkly stuff” and “maybe cake?” Luckily we have a bunch of family coming, so I will have people to help me cut up one zillion foods into star shapes.
It is freezing cold today but the forecast for the rest of the week looks perfect for lots of #lakelife fun. So far it’s been a pretty good summer.

I wore a lot of babies this week. I have to justify owning all these wraps somehow. Although I never thought I’d take/post so many selfies. What can I say, the wraps make me feel pretty.
Sunday:
The kids wanted Linc to play with them
Obviously I wore the nautical wrap to the seaport
Caroline pretending to be daddy in the submarine exibit
Monday:
Day off school = pjs and iPad
Wraps also make excellent blankets
Baby neck torture device is still a favorite
Tuesday:
When you buy a used wrap and your baby immediately falls asleep they say it came with “sleepy dust”.
Really excited about bananas
Basking in the glow of the TV while I catch up on Scandal
Wednesday:
Warm enough to wait for the bus outside!
When you live in an old house, sometimes walk tours stop to point at it.

Thursday:
He was happy it was raining so he could wear his cool fireman raincoat
She was happy it was raining so she could play with the umbrella
Swim on Thursday nights is EXHAUSTING
Friday:
THESE ARE NOT ALL MINE. Not even half mine. We had a meet up.
My mirror is filthy but there’s baby on my back!
This keeps happening. I think she might need day off.
Saturday:

Goodest good baby slept the whole time
This is almost not even like real life, right? Look at that huge empty field.
We had a busy week, and another busy week coming up, followed by nothing but busy weeks until Christmas. I don’t understand how it’s almost the end of October already, or how my baby will be three months this week or how it is almost 11 pm and I am still finishing this post and not sleeping. Time is such a jerk.

It might have been technically fall for a while now (er, maybe? I just asked E when fall started and he didn’t know. If only there was a website where I could ask questions and get instant answers!) but this was the first week that felt like fall. I’m enjoying the crap out of it.
Sunday:
Plaid! Leaves! Headspolsion of autumn!
Most adorable family who walks to church in our town. Possibly the ONLY family, but that’s a technicality.
Wine for mommies, cookies for the kids.
Monday:
Big girl does all her own walking.
Caroline takes fake-boating safety very seriously
She is skeptical that hayrides to feed cows can be considered “fun”.
Tuesday:
This llama is a crazy drama queen, Mommy.
Caroline insisted on a giant pepperoni stick. I already ate it all.

Wednesday:
There it is! Being upside down does it every time.

A little educational iPad time while mommy gets 10 more minutes of sleep.

Friday:
Dancing in the craft store (to the beat of her own drum)
All those unsmiling faces from the previous days ended in three hours of THIS.
Cheap curtains + embroidery hoop = instant play tent.
Today we’re at Sesame Place, hoping to have a lovely magically amazing Halloweeny time despite a loooooong week. Luckily my folks are going to come share in the child-minding fun and mini-roller coaster riding. I heard Elmo does a Sesame Street version of Thriller, which I might be looking forward to a little too much.
