My photos this week are terrible because I used my actual camera so much I kept forgetting my phone. I promise to post a whole bunch (probably way too many) of those photos as soon as I finish my client editing.
Sunday:
Lincoln really loves Caroline
Pimp my Cozy Coupe
I caught craft herpes from glitter tulle
Monday:
Outlet shopping in style
Very important iPad work
I wore this baby so much this week
Tuesday:
My face is horrible, but Linc is waving goodbye to Target, because Target is our BFF
The pre-Christmas toy purge
Ballet waiting room selfie
Wednesday:
15 Month check-up
Poor Brutus misses his kids when they’re at school
Pie maker
Thursday:
Fascinated by the parade, AS THEY SHOULD BE
I escaped my family to photograph a brand new baby
My 8 lb turkey looks so sad on that huge plate
Friday:
Christmas Tree farm selfie
Dinner selfie
Walking home in the dark selfie
Saturday:
Early Christmas present
The dudes really like the new Star Wars game
You can’t see the mess in the dark
Despite both grown ups in our house being sick at least part of the holiday weekend, we managed to get our tree, decorate, and do a large number of Christmasy-things. I have a bunch of cleaning to catch up on, since that’s always the first thing that goes when you’re not feeling great, but I’m feeling super motivated knowing I have less than 2 weeks until Caroline’s party. Fingers crossed I can get the early prep done so I have time to actually make food. It would help if I started a menu…

Merry Christmas! Happy Holidays! We had a great week!
Sunday:
Couch naps is what vacation is all about.
NO STOP IT STOP IT NOW
I think E was wishing he was back at sea instead of playing the rainbow game
Monday:
Apparently he was very comfortable in that one
The post office was a poor choice
That looks like something I can put in my mouth! Give it to me!!!
Tuesday:
My husband and father murdered my bushes (I asked them to).
Why are we at the grocery store AGAIN?
I had a Lego emergency
Wednesday:
It’s a good thing I don’t like peanut butter blossoms, because I made a LOT of them
Doing her best statue of liberty impression
Pretty excited about our Christmas
Thursday:
Happy with her stash
His Christmas mostly involved doing this
Plasma car success!
Friday:
FAT BABY
SLEEPY BABY
HAPPY BABY
Saturday:
Disapproving grouper judges you
Santa?!
What does the fox say? Zzzzzzzzzz….
Linc has like, a million new teeth coming in right now, so he’s pretty miserable. We were supposed to go to Virginia this week but I can’t handle the car trip plus sleeping at someone else’s house with such a grumpy baby. Not when the alternative is staying home in my pajamas. I did manage to get ALL THE LAUNDRY done today (or at least as much as is physically possible when you have children) so I feel pretty good. Tomorrow my goal is to vacuum every floor/rug in the house. Or maybe I’ll just try to catch up on laundry again.

BIRTHDAY WEEK! Today, Sunday, the day after Caroline’s party, I’ve finally managed to think about the fact that Christmas is 4 days away and I can’t even FIND half the gifts I bought the kids (no for real, WHERE DID I HIDE THEM????).
Sunday:
Swiiiiiiiiiiing
I only burned myself three times and the beer was an effective painkiller.
I REJECT YOUR BABY BATHTUB! GIVE ME REAL WATER!
Monday:
Proud of his gold star from the dentist
Wraps make good blankets when you use the stroller
You brought me to a casino AGAIN?!
Tuesday:
School uniforms don’t have sock and shoe requirements
WHY U PUT ME IN THIS CAGE?
NOM TULA NOM NOM
Wednesday:
She insisted on the jaunty hat
Screw you candy thermometer, you are USELESS
He’s disappointed none of those things are food
Thursday:
Daddy chat time
Outtake from my attempt at a santa baby picture. I have 30 more like this.
SHUT UP.
Friday:
Cookie time with Aunt Carolyn
I do not want to talk about what is happening here.
Two fancy ladies at The Nutcracker
Saturday:
Two selfies in a row is ridiculous, but the birthday girl is too cute
A shark playing Pin The Tail On The Mermaid
In the Rainbow My Little Pony game, EVERYONE WINS

Considering this week was Christmas, it was decidedly uneventful. I mean, BESIDES Christmas. But we spent all of the 25th (and the 26th) in pajamas eating stocking candy and being as lazy as possible. Then I got the worst pregnancy headache of my life (aren’t you glad I announced so now I can complain about it all the time???) and barely moved for 2 more days, so there you have it. Uneventful.
Sunday:
At the casino for some shopping, donuts and examining a fake ice wolf
Sleeping beauty
I have eaten two of these in a week
Monday:
Watching the zamboni
Once she got the walker thing she did great
5 pm. THANK GOD the days are finally getting longer again.
Tuesday:
A Christmas cookie miracle!
Easiest baking ever
My favorite part of Christmas Eve
Wednesday:
Arming my children, one gift at a time
Presents bigger than the child herself
Blurrily playing their new Jake and the Neverland Pirates game
Thursday:
Christmas recovery: chugging water and watching HGTV
Wiggly tooth. He fell on his face. The dentist said he’s going to lose it and have a hole for a long time.
Nothing says “Happy Day After Christmas” like Taco Bell
Friday:
Two things in common: cuddles and technology
Using his new fan to dry Caroline’s nail polish
Saturday:
Apparently all the baby wants is fake Mexican food
Naps for those of us with migraines/exhaustion
I had a newborn session this week (an early Christmas present not due until January!) and another session scheduled for next week, and I’m surprised to find myself excited about it. I burned out a little after the fall and hardly picked up my camera during the holidays so I’m excited to get it out again. Plus I’ve got a pregnancy post to write and a What’s for Dinner post I never finished and like 10,000 words about the Walking Dead I’d like to write but will spare you because no one cares about a show that already happened even if I only just caught up on.
I should probably also get the kids out of the house before we all go nuts, but everyone is doing that so pretty much everywhere is full of parents with the same crazy look in their eyes counting the days until school vacation ends. I’m hoping a Target run for some storage bins and and Icees for the kids will do the trick.

Did lots of things. Am tired. Kids are tired. Zzzzzzzzzz.
Monday:
LOOK MY POPCORN CAUGHT FIRE. GET IT?
Trip #1 to the grocery store. We did buy cookies. We forgot a turkey.
Visiting their lobster friends. That’s what they call them. I don’t have the heart to explain those aren’t the same lobsters as last week.
Monday:
It was freezing on the pier but the sun (and all the happiness) warmed my cold heart.
My TV babysitter earned her paycheck this week.
Go buy this book. HILARIOUS.
Tuesday:
Real street fashion: scuffed boots and yoga pants.
Evan loves his Duplos and Caroline loves creepy naked dolls
I don’t know how she doesn’t have nightmares.
Wednesday:
RUN AND GET A TURKEY BEFORE THEY ARE GONE, SLACKER
They put extra ginger in the pumpkin pie <3
Making pies is exhausting.
Thursday:
It’s sparkling cider.
NO REALLY IT’S JUST CIDER I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE HE LEARNED THAT.
Thankful
Friday:
Instead of shopping, we visited our favorite places.
She met Santa.
Hot cocoa and a lollipop = best day ever
Watching the town tree lighting
Saturday:
They FINALLY built a playground at the zoo!
Those are yesterday’s lollipops they brought to the parade
Our local parade is adorable, if not very fancy.
Considering it was only 30 degrees all week, we spent a TON of time outside. My kids don’t care. They were born in New England*. Today Caroline took off her jacket and her hoodie and ran around in just a shirt. But despite the temps we had a really great week.
Now I am throwing myself FULL FORCE into Caroline’s birthday party. Luckily “princess” isn’t the most original theme, so just grabbing pink or sparkly or sparkly pink stuff is pretty easy. I just need to get my house in order so I can start putting things up before I buy yet another princess tent and realize I don’t have anywhere to put FOUR of them. Tomorrow I’m going to let her pick out the ugliest, most ridiculous princess cake we can find to order from ShopRite. I’m so excited.
*This logic fails since I was born in Massachusetts and I’m freezing.
