Lightness
I’d like to believe my vacation was so magical it totally changed my life, but I suspect daylight savings time and the freakishly warm weather we’re having is to thank for my good mood. There’s nothing like tiny dirty bare baby feet to help me not care at all about the laundry I still haven’t put away. Heck, I can’t even be bothered to care about putting on real pants since we’re too busy swinging on the porch to leave the house.
Caroline has decided she hates clothes and rips them off while screaming bloody murder every morning…but hey, that’s fine! Whatever! Be free, naked toddler, run and feel the breeze against your chubby belly! Enjoy it while you can, since it will probably be 35 degrees next week. Damn you Connecticut.
I did convince her to wear one of my old sundresses today, so of course I documented it with 200 pictures. Ok, I’m lying, 248 pictures. She might be the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen in my entire life. If we could figure out how to power cars using squeeees of cuteness, Caroline could solve this gas price problem in a single afternoon.

I would wallpaper my house with those. And please go on vacation often if you bring this weather home with you! (and YAY for winning)
Two things:
1) Tiny dirty feet are so much cuter than adult dirty feet….especially swollen pregnant ones.
2) Every year when the time changes and it gets warm, I am more fully convinced that i have seasonal depression, or whatever the technical name is. I always think, wow…I feel so much better now. And I then realize how awful i had been feeling all winter. I’m seriously considering going tanning every week or two next winter (even though I know it’s horribly unhealthy) to see if it helps.
I sort of think EVERYONE had Seasonal Affective Disorder to some extent. Unless you live somewhere without winter it’s hard not to feel depressed at the short days and lack of vitamin D. They make special sunlight lamps – I think some insurance companies will even cover the cost if you wanted to try one! They’re supposed to be amazing.
And taking Vitamin D supplements really helps me too, almost as much as a straight up mood alterer.
I’m coming to Connecticut and squeezing your baby. Unless of course it really does get cold, because brrr. Those photos look great!
These are wonderful!!! She has changed so much already since the last time I saw her! And I LOVE LOVE LOVE the shot of her feet with the light coming through the porch. Brilliant! :)
