Wordless Wednesday: First Haircut Edition
Wednesday, April 6th, 2011(I apologize for the words, I just couldn’t stop myself. Also for the ridiculous number of photos. Again, unavoidable.)

Ready for the most boring week in iPhone photos EVER? This is what happens when you have the flu, then are in the hospital, then sick, then snow, all in one week. I PROMISE we’ll go somewhere next week so you can see pictures that don’t include my family room rug.

I have no idea what we’re going to do to day but it will NOT be sit on the couch and veg. I’m going to lose my freakin’ mind if I have to listen to this whining echo around the same two rooms for one more minute. MIND. LOST.

Twenty weeks of iPhone photos! I’ve gotten in the habit of taking a LOT of pictures each week so I can have plenty to chose from when I share them with you. I actually had to move all the previous weeks to our back-up hard drive because my computer’s memory was full. Whoops!
Sunday:
Even though there is NO ACTUAL REASON daylight savings time should have messed with our sleep schedules, I'm blaming it for the 5 am wakeup that lead to a 10 am car nap anyway.
Perhaps the last Apple Store in the country to still have iPad2's available. Or at least they did. Before E and I bought the last 2.*
Monday:
Tuesday:
And apparently that’s my only pic from Tuesday. Like I said, poor Little Evan’s head cold was making him miserable and barfy so we skipped the whole week at Stroller Strides. I’m going to regret that on Monday.
Wednesday:
Thursday:
Friday:
He insisted Caroline's bloomers were a hat. And then tried to hide behind the glass door. My kid is weird.
Saturday:
And someone celebrating being almost 2 by throwing his spoon on the floor 50 bajillion times turning breakfast. Oh toddlers.
*I cannot believe we bought TWO freakin’ iPads. I thought even buying ONE was a waste of money until I got to play with it and fell in love. But E still had some of his reenlistment bonus left after we did responsible stuff with it and when you sell your soul to the Navy for 5 more years sometimes you need shiny electronics to cheer yourself up. And sometimes you really hate sharing so you buy one for your wife too.

Sunday:
I found these while grocery shopping. E & I used to eat at the actual Sticky Fingers ALL the time in Charleston, including our first real date.
Monday:
Tuesday:
I went to Staples for envelopes and Post-its. It wasn't nearly as exciting as this picture makes it look.

Thursday:
That cool brick building used to be a fancy hotel. Now it's rent-controled apartments and a restaurant that keeps changing names.
Friday:
Taken 20 seconds after I finished seaming up the vest. I like to wear what I make as soon as possible.

Little Evan recently started loving on the bear I knit for him. And by "loving on" I mean "carrying around to hit people with and/or throw in air while laughing maniacally."

We didn’t actually do much at all this week (because of sickness)(and a little laziness) but I’d say we still had more good days than bad ones. Although we had some really really bad MOMENTS – like when the toddler fell off the couch onto the sleeping infant in her bouncy seat (everyone was ok) or when the toddler hit the infant in the head with a hockey stick, got a time out, was released from time out, hit her in the head AGAIN and then asked joyfully, “TIME OUT?! TIME OUT!?” (everyone was ok again…except for my patience).
Today we went on a hunt for a twin-sized bed to start the transition from nursery to little boy room but didn’t end up buying anything. I don’t know who designs kid’s room furniture but dude, most of that stuff is hideous. Or HUGE. Or is so style-specific it only goes with other pieces from that collection…and I already have a perfectly good dresser and bookcases thankyouverymuch. Don’t furniture retailers realize that by the time a kid is 2 or 3 their parents have already gotten WAAAAY past the “everything in this nursery must match! nothing but the best for my snuggy-wuggums!!” stage? Nursery furniture is where your market is folks. Just make me a nice neutral not-too-high wooden twin bed. Sorry, furniture sales people make me ranty. I think we’re going to end up at Ikea.
