Let’s Play with Hello Kitty and the KuKee App

Tuesday, November 26th, 2013

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group™ and KuKee, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #helllokittyletsplay  http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO.

I told Caroline we were going shopping for Hello Kitty clothes at the mall and she turned to our cat and said “HELLO! Kitty! Hello!”

But she figured it out pretty quick when we got there. So much pink! So many ruffles!

Get (or Stay) Well with MinuteClinic

Monday, October 28th, 2013

This is a sponsored post on behalf of MinuteClinic, but all opinions are my own.

WINTER IS COMING. The temperatures dropped a good 25 degrees almost overnight, I had to turn on the heat and my poor littlest ginger has her first cold of the season. I added “giant boxes of tissue” to my shopping list, since I’m pretty sure the snot levels between now and April are going to reach Defcon 1. With both kids in school – DIFFERENT schools, so two times the germs! – I’m pretty sure we’ll all end up sick at one point or another.

Get Those Photos Out Of Your Computer With Shutterfly Photo Story {Giveaway!}

Thursday, September 5th, 2013

This is a sponsored post from Shutterfly and Global Influence, but all opinions and photos are my own.

Hello September! There are already a few leaves in my yard, we turned off the a/c and I bought two new throw blankets today. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still 75 degrees out, but I’m totally ready for fall (just like every other blogger, right? Why are we all so obsessed with fall?) To mark the end of summer, I put together a photo book with Shutterfly’s new Photo Story iPad app.

Build A Better Lunch

Monday, August 19th, 2013

This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®, Rubbermaid, Jif, and Smucker’s, but all my opinions are my own. #aBetterLunch #pmedia http://cmp.ly/3/8vNxcO

Last week the kids and I decided to fit in another adventure before the summer ended, so we packed a lunch and headed off the the Connecticut Science Center in Hartford. Right after we walked in to pay for our tickets I decided it was another place we NEEDED to be members. It’s less than an hour from the house, all inside (winter is coming!), and totally kid-friendly. Absolutely worth the price of a year’s membership, especially because they offer a military discount. Besides, we brought our own packed lunch so once we were in the rest of our day was free. Free is my favorite.

Tree Climbing, Rock Throwing, And Other Real Life Talents

This is a sponsored post on behalf of OshKosh B’Gosh and Kohl’s, but it’s mostly just pictures of my kids.

I’m going to whisper, because I don’t want to jinx anything, but I think the horrible, hot, humid part of the summer is over. It’s still warm enough to spend the day outside, but not so hot my hair never dries between cold showers. And our non-air conditioned house feels like a comfortable place to take a nap instead of a sweat lodge. We all smell better now, too.
