My Week(169) in iPhone Photos
I sort of can’t believe that a week ago we were in Ohio. It’s amazing how easy it is to forget the change in our routine after a few days of normalcy. I think that’s why coming home from vacations are so rough – once you’re in your own house a couple nights the time away doesn’t feel real anymore. One of these days I’ll go on a real vacation and then tell you if that theory holds up.

Toddlers don’t understand sitting quietly during a serious occasion, so we read this book 1000 times instead

Today we are introducing Evan to the Star Wars movies. It’s basically the best plan ever, since we’ve bought ourselves an entire day of sitting on the couch with only occasional interruptions to explain that Han is definitely going to be OK even though he’s frozen or that they’re called “light sabers” not “life savers”. The day would be almost perfect if we weren’t out of jelly beans.
Caroline finally has her 3 year checkup tomorrow so I can see if she’s grown as much as I think she has. I’m not looking forward to the screaming while she has her shots part but afterwards we can get milkshakes so we’ll both feel better. Plus the baby loves milkshakes. Smart baby.

Toddler dance class is to die for! Sophia has been going to ballet/tap since September and even though it’s practically the same thing every week the cuteness/chaos does not get old. I hope you both enjoy it!
The little ballet outfit is so adorable I can’t even stand it! :)
What a crazy busy week. Glad you made it home safely. I love Bob Evans. I miss it so much. When we go home (I’m actually from Columbus, did you know that?) I must eat there at least twice. Everybody else thinks I’m crazy.
Also, knox did not get any shots at his three year (two months late of course) well visit. So depending on Caroline’s schedule you guys might not have to endure that.
You were right! No shots this time! Just the finger poke to check her iron, and she didn’t know what was coming so she wasn’t upset and got over it really fast. Evan doesn’t get any shots at his 5 year check-up either, so this is a good year for doctor visits.
We let Niko watch the first Star Wars movie recently. Maybe we’ll do the next one tomorrow? He calls Luke Skywalker “Luke Skyfighter” and his friends are Chewybaka and Minnesota (Yoda) and Robert (Ben/Obi-Wan) and Dark Bayber and they fight with life savers PEW PEW PEW. Han Solo is “That Guy.”
Niko has those same dinosaurs.
Your kids are looking great! Super cute. Glad you’re all staying safe and warm in all this cold and snow.
