Today’s gratuitous photo post is brought to you by the letter G

G is for GOD-DAMN KIDNEY STONES.

(Good news: I have antibiotics. Bad news: “My” urologist never got a referral through my insurance company so they can’t see me until I get one. Good news: I have an appointment to get one. Bad news: On Tuesday. Which is a lot of days from now when one keeps spiking a 103 degree fever. More bad news: I get to take both kids with me to my appointment. Good and bad news: My inlaws, brother-in-law and grandmother-in-law are coming to visit this weekend, which means I need to pull myself together. The good part is at least I have someone to watch the kids if I need E to take me to the emergency room.)

This is his camera face, except usually it involves more squinting.

No, I can NOT put my chalk down while I eat this apple. I'm multi-tasking.

He loves snow through the window but HATES snow touching him. He's definitely my child.

WHY ARE YOU SO CLOSE TO MY FACE?

Baby fist pump!

Tiny panda feet! Adorable onesie courtesy of Emmie Bee.

My Week(10) in iPhone Photos

Sunday, January 9th, 2011

With some help from my parents I actually managed to leave the house quite a bit this week! But as of today it’s just E and I with two kids so we’re probably not going anywhere again. Ever.

Sunday:

BEST TARGET FIND EVER. They were on sale for $1. I also bought myself a cherry one.

Nursing this baby puts her right to sleep almost every time. I don't even mind being trapped under her...

...because it means I have lots of time for knitting.

Monday:

Mom and I took Little Evan to the aquarium (I wore Caroline in the Maya sling)

I like the fish a lot more than my kid, but since the place was almost deserted he just ran around burning off energy.

Although his FAVORITE exhibit at the aquarium is...the drinking fountain. EPIC tantrum when I pulled him away.

Tuesday:

Waiting for the doctor at Caroline's 2 week check up. She's up to 8 lbs 15 oz & doing GREAT.

My new camera lens!! I love it - it's making me excited to learn more about my camera.

Wednesday:

My mom organzied our panty. I took a picture because it's never going to look this good again.

Family time!

Thursday:

BEBEH SOCKS!

Toddlers Gone Wild

My parents took all four of us to dinner (Chili's!) without incident. Thank God for toddler-sized cups of lemonade.

Someone's pants are too big, which means he can take them off on his own.

I made impromptu brownies, which means I didn't have the right kind of chocolate. They were still delicious.

Saturday:

We woke up to a winter wonderland!! Later that day, E bought a gigantic snowblower.

Probably the last time he ever stares longingly out at the snow, since our sledding adventure ended with one very cold very wet very unhappy child.

My Keurig makes sweet tea. Did you just die of jealousy?

If you did a week in photos, you can link up below and grab the code for your own linky from Amy over at A Good Life. I know I’ve been doing tons of photo posts and almost no writing but it’s a lot easier to take pictures than think of…uh…those things…you know…um…WORDS. Yeah, words. Those are hard these days, but I’m going to better next week!

Wordless Wednesday: I Got A New Lens For My Camera* Edition

View from Caroline's window while I was nursing her this evening

*Taken with my Nikon D90 and my new Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D lens. LOVE IT.

My Week(7) in iPhone Photos

Saturday, December 18th, 2010

Monday:

E uninstalled the horrible, ineffective, much hated dishwasher to prepare for the awesome shiny new one!

Tuesday:

Good Morning adorable toddler in the clearance winter pj's from Target! They're so big on him but SO cute.

Helping daddy install the NEW SHINY DISHWASHER. Guys, it is the BEST update we have made in the whole house. So much faster and quieter and actually CLEANS the dishes!

Wednesday:

Playing in the new playroom/nursery. Love the Ikea chalkboard.

I was making fun of E for using the Keurig to make blueberry lemon tea and his reaction was "READ THE MUG"

Thursday:

Well Dog, that's what you GET for sitting on the couch when you're not supposed to. Now you're furniture.

He was so excited to see his baby swing again he didn't even care the motor isn't strong enough to work,

Pants off for the pants-off OB visit. And I thought it was going to be uneventful.

Friday:

We made it to Stroller Strides! Just in time to see Santa arrive at work.

My mom managed to find the EXACT kind of advent calendar I wanted for Little Evan. We're just a little late on opening the doors :)

Last thing I saw as I went upstairs for my last night at home as a mother of 1. I can't wait to bring a baby home to this!

Saturday:

I think poor Little Evan is trying to convince me he is more than enough baby for one house. Too late buddy!

And here I am! Checked in to L&D, wearing my super sexy hospital robe and planning to have a baby sometime in the next few hours.

What a week! Are you impressed I’m posting from my hospital room? Love the free wifi in this place! Link up with your own photos below and grab the code through Amy over at A Good Life.

Wordless Wednesday: Announcing Baby Girl’s Name Edition

Wednesday, December 15th, 2010

At least, probably. Maybe. Don’t go ordering anything monogrammed just yet. Because when E comes home and says “If she’s born on Christmas, isn’t Piper Noel a nice name?” I can’t stop myself from second guessing Caroline Still-No-Middle-Name, especially after Swistle (squee!!) and her readers came up with a whole list of Christmasy themed possibilities. Suggestions still welcome.
