Under the tree

Look what Santa put in my stocking

Why do you do these things to me?

My Week(5) in iPhone Photos

Sunday, November 21st, 2010

Monday:

We started the week our favorite way

We even made it to (outside) Stroller Strides at Ft. Shantok Park

It was nice enough for some good quality swinging too

Tuesday:

I saw this. I bought this. It was disappointing. I need some regular egg nog.

Wednesday:

I got an amazing box in the mail. My friend Jen (from high school!) made me these for Baby Sandy. Are they adorable or what?!

Thursday:

We went to Stroller Strides (again!) and after class Baby Evan played on the Richard Scarry ride. He is skeptical of Lowly Worm.

My new (non-deffective) rocker came in at Babies R Us. Little Evan thought we also needed a new exersaucer.

Friday:

My BFF Erin came up with her son and I practiced pushing two around the grocery store. For the record, this cart SUCKS.

And then we left the babies (with E) to go pick up wine at our local vineyard. Sadly, all the wine was for my friends and not me.

Hey look! Amy from A Good Life was nice enough to make the linky code for me, so now it’s a hop! That means if you put this code in your post (on the HTML page) everyone’s links show up for everyone so it’s easy to check them all out. Please link up if you did a week in iPhone (or camera phone or whatever) photos! (p.s. I am shockingly internet clueless, so you might have to actually go over to Amy’s to get the code. I…don’t really know. Am not smart.)

Not Frowned Upon In This Establishment

Friday, November 12th, 2010

I know people are torn on the ETrade baby and whether or not he’s weirdly creepy and stupid or adorable and hilarious, but after the most recent commercial I fall squarely in the adorable category.

Because this baby? Is clearly related to BabyEvan.

19 Weeks and already BEST FRIENDS

Dog Love

LOVE DOG

So every time that commercial comes on, E and I laugh our head off. Then we started shouting the “frowned upon” part. And then Little Evan started actually trying to ride the dog. Which we discouraged.

If by “discouraged” you mean “helped him ride the dog”.

Wheeee!!!

I gave Brutus ALL my pizza crust tonight to make up for this. He hasn't pooped in my shoes yet, so I don't think he minds.

For at least an hour after nap time today, Brutus lay on a blanket on the floor while Little Evan leaned against him and drank two sippy cups full of milk. It’s the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen and it reminds me that adopting Brutus four years ago wasn’t just luck – it was one of the best things we’ve ever done.

(Apologies for blurry iPhone photos – I had the memory card for the DSLR in the computer so obviously it didn’t work so well when I tried to use it.)

(Uh, and for the record, this post is not in any way sponsored or approved by ETrade.)

My Week(3) in iPhone Photos

Sunday, November 7th, 2010

This week’s picture brought to you by the letter “G” for “Good, Good dog, Brutus”

Sunday:

Little Evan took it easy while we finished up renovations

Monday:

There's no rule that you can't have pretty bedding even though the mattress is on plywood and the outlets are exposed.

Although I DO have a rule that requires pants when we leave the house. So we hung out at home.

Tuesday:

Evan LOVES his new chair (thanks to Baby Baby Lemon for the link!)

Then we went and did our patriotic duty...

...Although Evan wasn't so sure about my choices.

Wednesday:

We enjoyed the last of the fall colors on our way to Stroller Strides

And sorted through my bedroom junk drawer

And discovered that my belly button had "popped". It also goes "beep!" if you push it (or at least it does when Evan pushes it.)

Thursday:

We made some poor choices when it came to toddler appropriate toys (don't worry, I took them away before I let him run around).

And some wise choices when it came to dinner (Cheddar-jalapeno scones from Smitten Kitchen - thanks to Ernie Bufflo for the link!)

Friday:

We went to the pet store for MORE flea medication (damn things will NOT die) so Evan got to practice his tweeting

Saturday:

And to finish the week, Evan read Daddy's statistics texbook. Genuis Baby: I has one.
