Not A Year End Wrap Up Post

Friday, December 31st, 2010

I *should* write a big wrap up of all my best posts from 2010 but that seems really time consuming and I’d rather watch this repeat of 30 Rock and stuff my face with the cookies I made this afternoon with my Amazing New KitchenAid Mixer. Maybe I should just write a love letter to my Amazing New KitchenAid Mixer and call it a day. Or I’ll save that for 2011.

Besides, I can’t really pick my favorite posts. I loved playing party planner with the eight zillion different posts about Little Evan’s first birthday and Caroline’s Baby Shower. I met some AWESOME new people with blog hops like the Home Tour and the Tat-Tour. There were posts I was really proud of, even if they were about silly things like my kid’s hair or baby kicks or not going to BlogHer. I got my first DSLR and took a zillion pictures of birds and gorillas and Little Evan with a toilet on his head and that conference I went to in Minneapolis. And then of course there was big stuff, like E re-enlisting,  a new pregnancy and a new baby and all the excitement that goes along with that. So yeah, hard to pick which posts I would include in a best of wrap-up.

So instead I’ll just say thank you to every single person who ever read my little bebehblog, whether you comment on almost every post (I SEE YOU AND LOVE YOU) or accidentally clicked over here once after Googling “fat person will belly button ring” (two hits from that one today!) I appreciate your readership. If you’re a reader who doesn’t comment, please feel free to join in any time. If you’re a commenter with a blog, please make sure I know so I can add you to my Google reader. And if you think this whole blogging thing is kind of silly but keep coming back for cute pictures of my kid, I promise there will be EVEN MORE (now with Girl Bebeh!) this year.

I hope we can be better friends in 2011. Happy New Year!!

My Week(8) in iPhone Photos

Sunday, December 26th, 2010

Sunday:

I had a baby. Probably the high point of the week, even though Christmas was awesome too.

Cuddly baby is cuddly, even (especially) at 5 am

Monday:

Talked my way out of the hospital so we got to go HOME!

Tuesday:

Maybe someone else in my house did some stuff but I just sat around and stared at the baby.

Wednesday:

Oh hey, look, I have this other kid too!

"If I take my pants off and look REALLY cute will you pay attention to me?"

Thursday:

The shirt, the face, the wine, the Snickers bar...he's a keeper. (Kidding! He's been pretty great)

Friday:

Life is clearly getting back to normal.

We (all four of us!) went to lunch at a local pub with friends. It went amazingly well.

Even the children's Christmas Eve service was too long for toddlers - I think he made it through 1 song before E took him to run around in the chapel.

Saturday:

Baby's First Christmas!

Reindeer toes

I think maybe ever toddler I know got this laptop for Christmas. It is a BIG hit around here.

Another big hit? The Modern Bird piece I ordered for E. It is even better in person.

Reading new books with MorMor. It was a super fun day!

Fresh Baked Baby: Little Evan Meets His Sister

Tuesday, December 21st, 2010

Why am I here?

Wait, say that part about "bring her home" again?

Guys, come check it out!

Kisses!

Double fisting it, bebeh style.

No, really, let's talk about this bringing her home thing again.

My Week(7) in iPhone Photos

Saturday, December 18th, 2010

Monday:

E uninstalled the horrible, ineffective, much hated dishwasher to prepare for the awesome shiny new one!

Tuesday:

Good Morning adorable toddler in the clearance winter pj's from Target! They're so big on him but SO cute.

Helping daddy install the NEW SHINY DISHWASHER. Guys, it is the BEST update we have made in the whole house. So much faster and quieter and actually CLEANS the dishes!

Wednesday:

Playing in the new playroom/nursery. Love the Ikea chalkboard.

I was making fun of E for using the Keurig to make blueberry lemon tea and his reaction was "READ THE MUG"

Thursday:

Well Dog, that's what you GET for sitting on the couch when you're not supposed to. Now you're furniture.

He was so excited to see his baby swing again he didn't even care the motor isn't strong enough to work,

Pants off for the pants-off OB visit. And I thought it was going to be uneventful.

Friday:

We made it to Stroller Strides! Just in time to see Santa arrive at work.

My mom managed to find the EXACT kind of advent calendar I wanted for Little Evan. We're just a little late on opening the doors :)

Last thing I saw as I went upstairs for my last night at home as a mother of 1. I can't wait to bring a baby home to this!

Saturday:

I think poor Little Evan is trying to convince me he is more than enough baby for one house. Too late buddy!

And here I am! Checked in to L&D, wearing my super sexy hospital robe and planning to have a baby sometime in the next few hours.

What a week! Are you impressed I’m posting from my hospital room? Love the free wifi in this place! Link up with your own photos below and grab the code through Amy over at A Good Life.

Maternity/Family Photos

Monday, December 13th, 2010

I was going to post just a couple of these but I CANNOT PICK which ones I like the best so here’s the most epic, ridiculously long photo post ever. Kade from KBG Photography took over 600 shots on Saturday and gave me a disk with 370 edited photos less than 24 hours after our session. How’s that for amazing turn-around? If you’re here in Eastern Connecticut I HIGHLY recommend using her for family photos – she was fantastic with Little Evan, even when he was being…difficult. Check out her website or like her on Facebook to see all the great shoots she’s done. (And thanks to April for suggesting her!) I’m so glad I was able to get these taken, even if my stupid kidneys forced us to reschedule. Thank you so much Kade!

And Mom/Mom Davis/Other Relatives, I have a release form saying I’m allowed to print as many of these as I want so if you need new family pics for the walls just let me know!

Belly handprints: Fail. But still cute!

He did NOT want to love the belly.

He had no problem loving the belly :)

My super pale belly is...kind of creepy. But the kid is cute!

Little Evan is trying to escape. But we'll call it hugging.

For the record, those are my pre-pregnancy jeans unbuttoned/with a Bella Band. They still totally fit over my butt at 38 weeks pregnant, something I am ridiculously proud of.
