I apologize for posting this picture literally two days in a row (AND on Instagram AND on Facebook) but it might be the best picture I’ve ever taken…and it was with my phone. Can you even imagine trying to explain that to someone 50 years ago? I TOOK THIS PHOTOGRAPH WITH A TELEPHONE.

I just seriously wasted 30 minutes trying to pick a photo from the more than 2,100 (!!!!) in my “April” folder. And that doesn’t even count the ones Erin took at Evan’s birthday. But since it was his birthday month, I’m gonna go with this one:

The hair sticking up, the half smile, the t-shirt, the dinosaurs in the background…it’s just so very EVAN.

I know I posted this picture three days ago but it really is my favorite from September.
