Happy Easter! Our day started 100% too early (like at 11 pm last night) thanks to a grumpy baby and ended with children who hate 10000% too much candy. Thank goodness our spring break does NOT start tomorrow, because I need to send these monsters to school. Far, far away to school.
Sunday:
Eating cereal at the big table
Quite in church, thanks to coloring supplies
Headed home after the egg hunt
Monday:
His new favorite toy
I have no idea where these came from but they’re fantastic
We had a snow day, so we watched a LOT of movies
Tuesday:
Chillaxing
Buying egg dyeing kits on clearance the year before is one of my smartest moves
Poor dog would do anything for attention
Wednesday:
Talking to the baby
I got some goodies from International Delight and that mug could not be more true
Helping with yard work
Thursday:
Shopping buddy
Eye appointment
NO I’M NOT TIRED DON’T PUT ME TO BED
Friday:
Eating kettle corn with a spoon, as one does
Easter-themed piano lesson was adorable
Caroline calls this the “ornament” and she LOOOOOOOVES it
Saturday:
Fun at the town egg hunt
More ornament nonsense
A rare glimpse of the Easter Bunny at work
I am SO TIRED from just one night of terrible sleep. My body had completely recovered from that newborn phase where 5 hours broken up into 3 sections seems totally fine. It occurred to me this morning those days are coming back and so I should go to bed at 9 pm every single day between now and August. And I swear I’m going to start doing that, right after the Walking Dead ends for the season.

We started the week playing outside without coats and ended it turning the heat back on in every room. WTH MARCH?

As much I love my baby, I do not want him in my bed at 8 am
Really fast slide
Playing in the creek with friends

Shoping smiles
ALL THE SHARPIES ARE SO EXCITING
Tuesday:
I dumped everything out to sort and then lost all my motivation
Thank God for Tuesday naps
More exhausted children suffering from DST
Wednesday:
Babies with stitches get to pick their own favorite wrap for uppies
They also get popsicles and trophies
Clearly he’s feeling better
Thursday:
Time to get used to the view from the OB’s office, kid
Super excited to discover the toy car bin
Not my best picture, but I love my poor damaged baby
Friday:
NAPPY NEWBORN. I stole her.
Nappy toddler. He’s sleeping, even though his eyes are creepily open.
I love her piano lesson room
Saturday:
Ice cream in the freezing cold. FREE ice cream, tho.
Linc doesn’t care how cold it is.
Nothing but the best for my family
We might have a snow day tomorrow. I’m secretly hoping we do, because I took a nap this afternoon and now I’m not tired. Plus I’m buying used baby clothes online through a flash sale and need to stay up until she posts the cute shoes. Don’t judge me, this is totally normal. I swear.

I am STILL trying to get over this cold/sinus thing/allergies???????/whatever it is that makes my face hurt all the time. There are days where I feel totally fine and days where I feel like I might actually die. The doctor’s office keeps telling me to try a saline nose spray and a humidifier but that’s helping about as much as hitting myself in the face with a hammer would. Maybe I should try that instead.
Sunday:
New car seat in the back = BFFs are very happy
Crazy farm kids
Editing goat pictures, watching the Harry Potter marathon
Monday:
No Linc, that is not your seat
Beach weather for a New England baby
Doing important baby work
Tuesday:
That’s a happy scream
Climbers
Dudes doing their Insanity workout
Wednesday:
Still not sure about swim
THAT IS NOT FOR BABIES
70 degrees = time to go in the ocean
Thursday:
Trying and failing to calibrate my 50 mm
Tree climbing shoes
Lying on the couch being sick while my A+++ husband cleans
Friday:
Accurate
Style Video Show Time!
Link to Caroline’s video is here!
Game night!
Saturday:
Friends
Caroline and Maggie, twinning at the outlets
We put the babies to work making dinner
BREAKING NEWS! I finally got ahold of my OB and she said I can take Tylenol Cold and Sinus if my head REALLY hurts and I’m REALLY sure it’s not just a regular headache. Going immediately to the store for both meds and a pint of Ben & Jerry’s, since that will definitely improve both my pain and my mood.
First I need to convince the toddler he doesn’t need to bring BOTH lightsabers with us. That seems excessive.

I am so lucky that as part of my photography business here in Connecticut I’ve gotten to meet both lots of wonderful people and lots of wonderful photographers. My favorite might be Tiffany Joyce, who is a fellow Navy wife and crazy talented photographer based in Mystic. She came over for coffee a few weeks ago so we could talk about Making a Murder and I ended up asking her if she was interested in doing some updated family photos for us. She’s normally a wedding and engagement and couples session girl, but was kind enough for make an exception for my crazy family. Caroline LOVES Tiffany, probably because she has long blonde hair like a princess.

Tiffany is also the best because she agreed to go with my insane photo ideas, even though it was clear from the start they were NOT going to work out like they do on Pinterest. E joked we were definitely going to end up on Pinterest Fails, next to those Cookie Monster cupcakes. Honestly, I have no idea why I even thought it was possible for balloons to float straight up outdoors but she did her best and I love these photos too:
What?
CLOSER.
And their faces when they figured out what the balloons were about:

That’s as good as it’s gonna get, folks, pack up this circus and go home.
But don’t you dare ask the baby to walk up the hill! I promise he’s as excited as it’s possible for a 19-month-old to be about something he has literally no understanding of. I promise actual details coming soon!
Find Tiffany on Facebook and Instagram and hire her to photograph your wedding. Do it.

We had our first snow day on Friday! And we’re having our second snow day today, Monday. I’m not exactly tired of the snow but I am a liiiiiittle tired of seeing my family quite so much. I’m pretty sure they feel exactly the same way.
Sunday:
Lazy level 100
Baby brothers are helpful
MY KITCHEN SINK IS EMPTY I DID NOT DO THIS IS IT MAGIC???
Monday:
That seems normal for Feburary.
Important groceries
Family Insanity Time
Tuesday:
Sleeping with his eyes open
Where did I get a teenager?
Plz feed these to me immediately
Wednesday:
She thought her doctor’s gown was very fashionable
Toddler wearing
Hairdresser in training
Thursday:
Sharing
Really please with his lollipop
Me: LINC IT IS FREEZING OUTSIDE GET BACK IN THE HOUSE. OK MISTER, I’M JUST GOING TO LEAVE YOU OUT THERE! I AM! FOR REAL! I’M SHUTTING THE DOOR! Linc: Whatevs.
Friday:
Snow day
Destroying stuff, because snow day
Exhausted from destroynig stuff
Saturday:
Horsey time
She wants to know why we don’t have a trampoline in OUR house
Parenting level up: getting a beer out of a cooler on the floor with a baby on your head
We wasted today’s snow day doing literally nothing. Which is fine, I like doing nothing. But I really hope we have normal school tomorrow so Linc and I can go do nothing at Target with a latte instead of on the couch while three children scream at each other. Plus we’re out of essentials like potato chips and bacon, so I’m going to HAVE to leave the house.
February already feels like the longest month ever and it’s only the 8th.
