Last week could probably be described as “lazy chaos”. I was solo-parenting for most of it, too pregnant and tired to really care about much beyond keeping the kids mostly alive. We didn’t do much besides attempt to keep the floor at least 50% visible under the layer of laundry and toys.
Sunday:
Weirdo
We found some extra kids
He thinks I am a jungle gym
Monday:
The big bed makes him look like a baby again
I want a choclate river
Dragon noodles I turned into fake Pad Thai
Tuesday:
Very proud of his outfit
Ice cream for dinner
Tooth brushers
Wednesday:
Pls jump yourself into exhaustion
Cuddles seem so nice but it’s SO HOT
Thursday:
More lake life
Very fancy photoshoot outfits
TAKE MY PICTURE MOMMY
Friday:
I sent her to piano alone because…
…this was happening in the car
ALWAYS ON ME
Saturday:
MORE JUMPING
The whole recital was extremely adorable
A small sample of the mess I live in
Once again, it’s Tuesday and I am just getting this done. I shot my (most likely) last two client sessions before I have the baby this weekend and all that work was exhausting. This week Evan has camp so the house it much, much quieter during the day, so I’m hoping I can get all that editing, plus some cleaning and organizing, plus some napping done. Mostly the napping. It’s going to be a long time before I get a nap again once I have a baby. (37 weeks, fingers crossed I have a baby at exactly 40).

It’s only Sunday and I’m getting this done! Because it is too hot to do anything besides sit very still!
Sunday:
That looks safe
Middle of nowhere
Apparently, some of my relatives are buried at this obscure graveyard in Ohio (that’s my maiden name)
Monday:
Waking up at the lake means 8 am swim call
Books books books
Future captain
Tuesday:
The lake has a menu
My baby is on that tube
Chips are very exciting
Wednesday:
Everyone loves the swim platform
I guess that’s fair
He likes the boat a lot more than this face implies
Thursday:
Tired, hot, filthy children are finally home
That “mild” sunburn hurts A LOT more than it looks
I taught them how to send FB messages
Friday:
Back at our own lake
Recital in two weeks!
Catching Pokemon from our front porch
Saturday:
Caroline the Bond Villian
Camp food!
The birthday boy was not in the mood for pictures
All the kids had a great time at Linc’s party and no one died of heat stroke. This week is going to be busy with making up appointments and commitments we rescheduled when we went out of town, plus it’s my last busy week of photo sessions before I start telling people I’m too pregnant. I mean, I’m ALREADY too pregnant, but I still like working. I’m going to “take it easy” from now until the end of August (which will more likely be the middle of September, since I always have boy babies late). It will be easier to take it easy once it is not 95 degrees every day. When can someone work on that?

This summer is going by really fast. I’m mostly ok with that (because at the end I get a baby!) but I’m starting to feel the pressure of doing-all-the-fun-things-quick-before-we-run-out-of-time.
Sunday:
Man, I hate when the beach is crowded
WHAT CHA EATIN MOM??
Spying on my children who are playing nicely
Monday:
Patriotic New England Children
Counting frogs
Shut down the lake at 8 pm
Tuesday:
Really excited about Seaport Camp
You baby judges you
Evening swim
Wednesday:
More playing nicely. Have they been body snatched?!
Private Seaport
The lake is the only thing keeping us all from dying of heatstroke
Thursday:
Trying to sit in my lap
Naps
Reading time
Friday:
Less hot, still at the lake
Caroline telling us about her favorite boat, which is a party boat because she likes parties
One month until her recital!
Saturday:
Went for a walk to look for Pokemon
Linc likes to give hugs
Game night!
All my photos this week are going to be of Pokemon, because the kids are always carrying my phone around and it’s hard to take iPhone photos when I don’t have control of my iPhone. But I’m not really mad, Evan is super good at catching them. Priorities.

Friday:
Babies helping babies

Saturday:
Fishing tournaments are more fun if the fish show up
Linc doesn’t understand why we are standing in the rain
An excellent way to end the week
I had a very nice Mother’s Day today, with lots of sitting down and someone else doing all the baby work and children who regularly asked if I was having a good day. I didn’t get to plant any Mother’s Day flowers yet, but since this week should be warm and sunny I’ll fix that as soon as possible. I’ll also be able to FINALLY do the blue-or-pink reveal for this baby with the kids (we know what we’re having, they do not, so I want to tell them before I blog it). I’ve never bothered with a big gender reveal before, so I wanted to do it this last chance I had.
Fingers crossed for sunshine.

Sunday, March 20th, 2016
We started the week playing outside without coats and ended it turning the heat back on in every room. WTH MARCH?
Sunday:
As much I love my baby, I do not want him in my bed at 8 am
Really fast slide
Playing in the creek with friends
Monday:
Morning smiles
Shoping smiles
ALL THE SHARPIES ARE SO EXCITING
Tuesday:
I dumped everything out to sort and then lost all my motivation
Thank God for Tuesday naps
More exhausted children suffering from DST
Wednesday:
Babies with stitches get to pick their own favorite wrap for uppies
They also get popsicles and trophies
Clearly he’s feeling better
Thursday:
Time to get used to the view from the OB’s office, kid
Super excited to discover the toy car bin
Not my best picture, but I love my poor damaged baby
Friday:
NAPPY NEWBORN. I stole her.
Nappy toddler. He’s sleeping, even though his eyes are creepily open.
I love her piano lesson room
Saturday:
Ice cream in the freezing cold. FREE ice cream, tho.
Linc doesn’t care how cold it is.
Nothing but the best for my family
We might have a snow day tomorrow. I’m secretly hoping we do, because I took a nap this afternoon and now I’m not tired. Plus I’m buying used baby clothes online through a flash sale and need to stay up until she posts the cute shoes. Don’t judge me, this is totally normal. I swear.
