Wordless Wednesday: Pirate Days at Mystic Seaport

Wednesday, April 17th, 2013

Ahoy Mateys! Pirate Days at Mystic Seaport was pretty crowded – we generally skip the Seaport on days when we won’t have the place to ourselves – and the kids varied between LOVING the pirates and HATING the pirates, but we had a pretty good time.

Easter Photo Overload

Monday, April 1st, 2013

Public Service Announcement! Today is April Fool’s Day, DON’T BELIEVE STUFF. Especially on the internet. This is not an April Fool’s Day post, just lots of pictures.

2013 is officially the best Easter I can remember. E got an (almost) 3 day weekend, the weather warmed up, and my children were adorable. My only complaint is that church didn’t have Sunday School during the Easter service, which means I heard exactly none of the sermon because I spent the entire time “shushing” two gingers who can’t sit still for an entire hour. They did, however, sit reasonably still for Fancy Brunch. The unlimited bacon and cupcakes definitely helped.

My Week(83) in iPhone Photos

Saturday, June 2nd, 2012

For a “short” week, this week felt insanely long.

Sunday:

Yes, flea market vendor, that insanely creep disembodied head DEFINITELY makes me want to buy that hat.

Spiked milkshakes are the best invention since regular milkshakes

Playing poker at home is much less expensive.

Monday:

Spying on the neighbors

No pictures during breakfast, Mommy.

She totally thinks she can read

Tuesday:

Yes, that looks safe.

I think Caroline totally looks like Sal

So far, I like it.

Wednesday:

The Very Tired Three Year Old

Jumping off the couch into a pile of pillows is all fun until someone cracks their head open

Thursday:

Matching ginger swings

Mommy truth: Nothing makes shopping easier than two kids sitting nicely in a single cart.

Caroline, Queen of the Nile

Friday:

Stroller ride: Yur doin it rong

Practicing boating safety, even on the pretend boat in the seaport

Walking through the past with friends

Saturday:

Rainy morning relaxing

This is how adventures (or nightmares) start

Reading one of our garage sale finds

Today’s weather was terrible but tomorrow is supposed to be much better so I’m hoping to still squeeze in some weekend fun – or at least a little grilling on the patio. Now I’ve got to go let Jillian kick my butt for 20 minutes to make up for the delicious post-cheeseburger frosty I just inhaled.

Did you take any camera phone photos this week? Link up with one or lots using the linky below and grab the code (so it shows on your blog too!) over at Amy’s . It’s really fun!

Weekend Photo Attack

Monday, April 16th, 2012

Driving home on Sunday, E and I were talking about what we would do if we won the $130 million Powerball, and I said “You know, I think I’d stay here in our house.” Of course, I’d ALSO buy a fabulous beach mansion so I could skip November-March in New England. But April in Connecticut kind of rocks.

Apologies for the ridiculous number of pictures.

Mystic Seaport:

She INSISTED on wearing this hat all day

An extremely true-to-life family photo

E’s hockey game:

This just cracks me up

Playing on the patio:

Practicing her balance beam skills

I have no idea what she's doing. Weirdo.

Evan learned how to skate:

He did so well for his first time!

It’s supposed to be 85 degrees today, so we’re going to a playdate, taking a nice long nap and then playing in the sprinklers until it’s time to make burgers on the grill. That’ll do, Connecticut, that’ll do.
