My Week(70) in iPhone Photos

Sunday, March 4th, 2012

Attention! I have a very important, possibly life-changing announcement: You can let someone else watch your kids for a few hours and THEY WILL BE OK. Even during dinner time! Even during bed time! I have done some very scientific research in this area* and not only were they FINE, they both slept a full 12 hours and Evan woke up asking for her to come back and play. I am suddenly drunk with the power of babysitters – we could go see a movie in a theater! We could eat dinner at a restaurant without high chairs! We could get fancy dressed up and go to a ball! (No, really, the Navy loves to throw balls)(Insert balls joke here). But mostly I feel one bazillion percent better about leaving the kids with my parents next week.

*Scientific research = one evening out for a charity auction where E and his co-workers attempted to kill their livers.

Sunday:

Rearranging

My new view from the couch

Now I think we need a bigger couch

Monday:

Ok, we moved all the furniture. When does the organization fairy show up to clean up this mess?

Still hates shirts

Hanging a new family gallery

Tuesday:

Wheeeeeere's Evan?

The Bubble Guppies are stalking me

Sunshine

Wednesday:

Excited to be at gymnastics

Sitting like a big girl

Awwwwwwww

Thursday:

Eating her breakfast off the floor like a dog. Typical morning.

Somebody get those kids away from the escalator!

That looks...not comfortable

Friday:

Watching the birds

I love baking, really, but biscuits from a can are the BEST BISCUITS

The family that brushes together, avoids ridiculous dental costs together

Saturday:

Please Mom, I want some more

Checking out couches. E was not impressed.

The intended theme of the silent auction was a luau. The ACTUAL theme was alcoholism.

Today I had a much-needed spa appointment, although not the kind of relaxing appointment you’re probably thinking of. Much-needed because I’m going to be in a bathing suit all next week. So yeah, now that I’ve shared way TMI, I’m going to go watch a movie with my boys and eat hummus.

We had a BEAUTIFUL week of gorgeous weather and fun…right up until Friday. When I woke up at 5 am to snow – SNOW! – everywhere, I declared I was taking a day off from life. We stayed home. I wore my jammies all day. We had popcorn for dinner. It was lovely. I predict today will be very similar.

Sunday:

How adorable is this cupcake buffet at the tea party birthday we attended?

Sunshine

E secretly loves tea. Don't tell him I told you.

Obviously a tea party calls for pearls

Monday:

Monday was a holiday, so I worked twice as hard as I usually do organizing this room.

Multi-tasking!

I added fun colors to the tub! Evan disapproved.

Tuesday:

GOOD MORNING WORLD.

The girl loves hats

He thinks this is the best trick EVER

Wednesday:

Apparently those aren't camo pants, they're grumpy pants

If you look veeeery carefully, you can see one sad toddler in time-out during gymnastics

25 favor boxes for Evan's 3rd birthday, DONE.

Thursday:

My children refuse to wear clothes correctly.

No Mommy! No go inside! Stay outside!

Dear God, someday she will drive an ACTUAL car ::heart attack::

Friday:

NO.

He's obsessed with these shoes. He can actually walk in them better than I can.

Headband obsessed - obviously she's mine

Saturday:

See mommy, giraffes don't wear shirts so I shouldn't either!

Oh, what you got there? Trains? I like trains!

IKEA trains FTW! We trippled our track for less than $25.

Today I am working on an epic blog post – epic in my head, obviously, just long and rambling in real life – and finishing all the laundry. Why did I make Sunday laundry day?! It always ruins my sleeping-in day knowing I’ve got a mountain of dirty clothes to get through. The good news is 2 weeks from right now I’ll be getting on my CRUISE. If I mention it 300 times between now and then try to forgive me, OK?

In case you were wondering, no you DIDN’T win my Leading Lady bra giveaway because NO ONE won my Leading Lady bra giveaway because I totally forgot to pick a winner. And since I’ve still got the Head & Shoulders giveaway going on AND I’ll have another one up next week (it’s super cute, definitely come back) I should probably clear my giveaway-calendar now. So get ready! Someone’s boobs are gonna look rockin’!

The winner is, commenter #12, MeganTBeach! Yah, Megan! I will pass your email on to Leading Lady so hopefully you’ll hear from them soon and can get the bra of your dreams.

And because everyone who ISN’T Megan is totally bored with this post now, here’s two minutes of my kids attempting to do somersaults. Apologies for my insanely loud/screechy voice.
