My Week(180) in iPhone Photos

Sunday, April 13th, 2014

180 is kind of a crazy number of weeks, right? I mean, I balk every year at doing a 365-project with my DSLR because who takes THAT many pictures?? But it turns out…Me. I do. I take way more than that (although they’re not very good).

Sunday:

sunday1

Toddler party hangover

sunday2

I barely talked to him all day, he was so busy with his birthday toys

sunday3

And then she sticks them with the pointy end because she is AWESOME

Monday:

monday1

Hydration is important

monday2

Starting the party clean-up. I should be done by September.

monday3

*Almost* warm enough to play on the porch

Tuesday:

tuesday1

Puddle jumping

tuesday2

I bought eyebrow tint. I feel like it’s going to change my life.

tuesday3

Rainy days make me feel like that too

Wednesday:

wednesday1

YAY SPRING!

wednesday2

The cat and I watched Harry Potter. I am not sure where the children went.

wednesday3

OH LOOK THERE’S ONE

Thursday:

thursday1

For my birthday, they gave me a day where they were mostly quiet and nice to each other.

thursday2

I am old now, so I should start putting this stuff on my face. Or whatever.

Friday:

friday1

“Mommy, you gonna get a coffee?”

friday2

That’s pregnant lady birthday sushi (deep friend Godzilla roll) and edamame for the kids (Caroline ate the whole bowl)

friday3

Adorable and delicious cake

Saturday:

saturday1

Being sassy in Daddy’s car

saturday2

She’s getting good at pinatas

saturday3

Photo shoot at Lords Point. Didn’t suck.

This week is spring break for the kids and because I was worried I’d be stuck at home while E was at sea the kids and I are going to Virginia. Unfortunately (fortunately?? I can’t even tell anymore) E ISN’T at sea, so he’ll get a week of no-wife-no-kids. I am hoping he appreciates the silence, the king sized bed to himself, and as much fast food as he wants. I will not remind him that in Virginia I get to see a dear friend’s new baby, have access to grandparent babysitting and all the Chick-fil-a I can eat. Although I think doing the 8+ hour drive by myself means I earn some waffle fries.

If you see a huge pregnant lady dragging two gingers through the Air & Space Museum, say hi.

The Wild Rumpus

Tuesday, November 5th, 2013

I’ve already posted these pictures in other places so apologies if you’ve already seen them. Feel free to roll your eyes at me for showing off my adorable kid all over the place. STFU Parents, amirite?

p.s. How excited am I that he wore this costume again this year? (Last year’s photos here) It makes spending way to many dollars on that Max suit hurt a lot less.

My Week(157) in iPhone Photos

My teeny little table showing off my work

Processed with VSCOcam

WTF Target, it’s only NOVEMBER FIRST.

Processed with VSCOcam

I wasted fancy hair and spanx on a lousy event for E’s work.

Saturday:

My assistant at the morning photo shoot got a liiiiitle dirty

Processed with VSCOcam

We have too many couches right now, but at least it means they can watch iPad OVER THERE and leave me alone.

Processed with VSCOcam

Yes, she is wearing her costume AGAIN. At least it was at a costume party.

E’s submarine was commission on Saturday, which means they’re one step closer to being a fully functioning boat that goes to sea. That is both good news (no more shipyard!) and bad news (deployments) but it also means he’s going to be working even more over the next couple of weeks. Since this is still the busy season for pictures too, I suspect there will be a lot of late nights for the next month. Although it hardly matters now, since it’s 4:55 pm and PITCH BLACK outside. Thanks for nothing, daylight savings time.

In blog news: I’m about 3 meals into a brand new round of What’s For Dinner – which I haven’t done in a crazy long time – and it’s nice to be cooking new stuff again. I can only handle taco salad and spaghetti so many times before I give up and let my family eat pop tarts and grapes for dinner. So watch for that sometime next week!

My Week(156) in iPhone Photos

Sunday, October 27th, 2013

The weather cooled off this week, but all that seemed to do was make our skies even more gorgeous than usual. I had a bunch of work and Caroline had a couple of really grumpy days, so the week both flew by and seemed to last fooooooorevvvvvvveeeeerrrrrrr.

LOOK AT MY FACE MOMMY TAKE A PICTURE

If you see me online this week – especially if I ask you for Candy Crush lives – tell me GET BACK TO WORK. I need to stop cleaning up photos on my computer and clean up my kitchen. And put away laundry. And meal plan. And find something to do with this extra couch that is blocking my front door.  Although if I get a quiet minute to take a nap I might do that instead. SO TIRED.

Saturday:

saturday1

I did NOT buy this, even though I really really really really love it. I did end up buying a dresser. And a table. And a couch. And…another couch. It was an expensive weekend.

Processed with VSCOcam

I love you, soda machine.

Processed with VSCOcam

Project RECLAIM THIS DISASTER is underway. I’m so excited about it, especially now that it’s getting darker and colder and we’re going to be stuck inside more.

I had no photo sessions this weekend but I’m making up for it with 4 in the next 6 days and I’m crossing my fingers SO HARD that the weather stays nice. I’m hoping to get some of our personal photos sorted and (minorly) edited and shared too, since my family starts to get mad if there aren’t enough gingers on the blog. MOAR GINGERS SOON, I promise.
