My Week(14) in iPhone Photos

Saturday, February 5th, 2011

Sunday:

Someone woke up a grumpy pants

But we cured that with a little fort-building

Silly face!

Monday:

No, YOU took your pajamas off overnight!

As much as I hate these carts, they're the only thing that makes grocery shopping with both kids possible right now.

We stopped by the yarn store to spend a little of my Christmas gift certificate (Thanks Erin!)

Tuesday:

Reading books in the playroom

My child suffers from a severe case of lost-sock-itis

More Silly Face!

Wednesday:

Cereal! With a spoon! And milk! It's his new favorite.

I organized my knitting bag(s) so I could focus

And turned Monday's yarn purchase into a scarf

Thursday:

Chillin in her new outfit - pretty much the only one I've EVER bought her

BEBEH SHOES! I was so proud she was totally dressed when we went out - too bad she was in the car seat covered in a blanket the whole time so no one saw.

They're renovating our Target. It's very exciting.

Friday:

E and I both woke up with food poisoning, so things got a little...messy

I felt EVEN WORSE than this

Saturday:

I call this one "Portrait of a Child Whose Parents Are Still Recovering And Don't Want to Leave the House"

This is my version of decorating for Valentine's Day. The vase with the orange things is from Thanksgiving.

And the hat is from Christmas

Did you take any camera phone photos this week? Link up with one or lots using the linky below and grab the code (so it shows on your blog too!) over at Amy’s. I hear she’ll be back from Hawaii soon so I can stop hating her a little for the vacation photos.

Delirious

Thursday, February 3rd, 2011

We’ve once again been trapped in the house due to poor weather, which means its been like, A MILLION YEARS since we’ve been able to go anywhere. It feels like I’m living in White Witch Narnia (where it’s always winter but never Christmas)(because SERIOUSLY hasn’t it been practically a YEAR since the holidays?) We’re all going a little stir-crazy.

Is it making you dizzy yet?

So my only goal for the day is to get OUT. We need milk. We need ice melt (oh BOY do we need ice melt). I need to browse the clearance racks at Target for things to wear over leggings. I need some food from a drive-thru. My children need to know we’re not the last humans alive on the planet.

If I’m feeling ambitious (and these pangs in my kidneys don’t get any worse) I might try to make it to Stroller Strides. If not, meh, Target is in the same direction. And I’ve still got 7 1/2 months to lose the baby weight before I start to feel bad about it. Also, lugging a toddler and a car seat around is really good exercise.

So hasta la vista interwebs. Catch you on the flip side. (Yeah I don’t know what that means.) I’ll be back after I’ve gotten my fill of shopping and french fries – and trying to drag 2 babies around in ice filled parking lots.

Maybe we don’t have to go out after all…

Steppin’ Out {1}

Sunday, January 30th, 2011

I never participate in Mandy’s weekly SOS style linkys because a) I rarely bother to get dressed these days and b) all my clothes are from Target, which means you probably own them too. Also, I have no style, especially when I’m nursing. Boob-accessible clothing tends to be EVEN MORE boring and unoriginal than my regular jeans-and-sweater combination. What I’m saying is you’re not going to find anything super inspiring here, so just leave now. Go on, get. Stop! Why are you scrolling?!

On Mama:

Shirt, nursing tank & boots: Target

Cardigan: H&M (can I call it “vintage” if it’s from, like, 5 seasons ago?)

Jeans: Old Navy

Headband: Much Love Illy on Etsy

Giant boobs & insanely long hair: Caroline

On Little Evan:

Jean & Shoes: Target

Sweater: Children’s Place (I bought it for my nephew for Christmas last year. It came back in a box of hand-me-downs which is very exciting because I LOVE it.)

On Caroline:

Dress: Uff Da! (And she’s already outgrown it – I need to order a bigger one ASAP!)

Onesie: Carter’s

Leggings: Old Navy (If you need truly infant-sized leggings, that is where to go. These are actually 6-12 month sized but they fit her great!

Booties: Hand knit by my wonderful high-school friend Jen B.

Headband: Allora Handmade

My Week(4) in iPhone Photos

Sunday, November 14th, 2010

Do you like these posts? I do. Several other bloggers have started doing camera phone photo wrap-ups, so if someone can set up one of those reciprocal linky things (the kind that shows up on everyone’s blog) we could make it a weekly link up? Or not, since there are about forty zillion internet memes already out there.

Sunday:

I started my week off with a new knitting project - coffee coozies for my Auburn fanatic friends

Monday:

We woke up to this! (Uh, maybe it's time to bring that stroller inside)

So Little Evan and I took advantage of the snow day to work on the new nursery

Tuesday:

Naked, diaperless baby chugs milk and signs "monkey"

I LOVE getting this spot at the grocery store. I figure 1 unborn baby + 1 toddler = DON'T EVEN TRY TO TELL ME I DON'T DESERVE TO PARK CLOSE TO THE DOOR

Wednesday:

Errand day! We bought shuuuuuz at Target to replace the one he lost

And we went to the post office to mail out FOUR different presents. I love our old post office - it's a full 2 stories inside with lots of carved wood and marble.

Thursday:

E used his day off to play horsey

And I used it to get ENORMOUS in the belleh

Friday:

I worked on baby shower crafts

And went out to dinner with my friend Joy for her birthday - this is half an avocado stuffed with lobster, crab and DELICIOUS

Saturday:

I woke up to this, the view from our new 3rd floor bedroom

Despite the fact that we're a hockey family, Little Evan is in LOVE with football. BuhBaaall!! BuhBaaall!! Duh-down!! (Touchdown!)

But he still supported his daddy at the iron man tournament

Size Matters

Friday, October 8th, 2010

Dear Sales Lady at Motherhood Maternity,

While I am truly flattered that after the…very thorough once-over, you sized up my butt and decided to keep bringing me mediums (even in those Heidi Klum maternity jeggings)(which were a crime against both women and eyes everywhere) please listen to me when I talk. I want larges. LARGE. L. It’s written right on the label so they shouldn’t be hard to find. Yes, I’m sure the medium would fit me fine right now but I’m planning to be pregnant for a couple more months. Maternity jeans are not like regular jeans, where the brand with the best vanity sizing wins and I’m willing to wear Spanx just to get into a pair I’ve been holding on to since college. I’ve got enough uncomfortable stuff going on in my crotchal area without too-tight pants. Things are only getting bigger for the next 11 weeks and I’d like these jeans to fit until I have to peel them off to, you know, get the baby out. Thanks for understanding.

xoxo

Suzanne

p.s. Sorry about my kid chewing on those shirts. I know I should have bought them but dude, they were REALLY ugly. Hopefully that sweater I grabbed made up for it.

p.p.s. I could have done without the crazy-eyes when I turned down your offer of free formula and diaper coupons too. Not crazy. Just not interested.

p.p.p.s. But good job on doing at least 10000x better than the last time I went into your store.
