LBaggies Reusable Snack Bags – Giveaway!

So you know how kids eat ALL THE TIME? And how you always have half a dozen different snacks in your purse just in case someone decides to throw a low-sugar meltdown in the middle of Target? Because if you don’t have snacks you have to abandon your cart full of super-necessary-and-useful stuff you found on clearance AND you don’t get to stop at Starbucks on the way out and now your whole life is ruined forever?

Yeah, that sucks. Which is why you need snacks.

One of the drawbacks of all those snacks is all those plastic sandwich baggies. The non-recyclable, ugly plastic sandwich baggies that end up in the trash even if you rinse them out several times because they’re just not made to be used over and over. So of course someone came up with a better solution:

Oh hai, I'm adorable and eco-friendly.

My sandwich is stylish in this LBaggie!

Enjoying Goldfishes at the fireworks display last week. Baby Evan loves eating stuff out of the bags - crackers, fruit, sandwiches - and they're so easy to just wipe out and use again.

More about LBaggies:

Our fun and colorful baggies are great for snacks, sandwiches, and just about anything!
We make our baggies with a 100% cotton print outer (we also have 100% organic cotton choices) and a waterproof inner (PU coated nylon). Lbaggies are food safe and free of lead, phlalates, BPA, and PVC.

Lbaggies come in two sizes: snack (6 in. x 6 in.) and sandwich (7 in. x 7 in.) and have a snap closure. We find snaps work better than aplix/velcro so you don’t get all those icky crumbs stuck in the closure. And you won’t smoosh your sandwich snapping them closed- just pinch the fabric from the outside to snap together.

Wash instructions: turn inside out to wipe/rinse clean, or machine wash.

A bunch of the moms in my Stroller Strides class (do you see a trend here of how easily I am influenced by the cool stuff my friends have?) ordered these from LoveyBums. Of course, then I wanted some too, and because I like sharing I asked if Pam would be interested in sending an extra bag so I could pass it on to you.

Since she is awesome and super nice, she sent four!

For you!

(That blue one with the flowers is my FAVORITE pattern. Let me tell you how hard I fought with my conscience on keeping it for myself.) There are tons of other cute pattern available if you want to buy some yourself:

The mermaids are a close second for my favorite. Or maybe the animals. Heck, I'll take them all.

FREE STUFF ALERT!!! Do YOU want one of the sets pictured above (includes one sandwich size and one snack size)? I’ll draw two winners – the first one gets dibs on whichever set they want and runner up gets the other.

To enter – just leave a comment! It doesn’t have to be brilliant, but make sure I know you’re not spam.

Contest is open to anyone who has a mailing address. I just hope my sister in Africa doesn’t win, shipping there is ridiculous. But you can enter if you want Carolyn! Entries must be received by midnight on August 5th to be considered. Winner announced on Friday morning. GIVEAWAY CLOSED!

NEW! Pam sent me a coupon code to share with you! Enter BEBEHBLOG at checkout to get 20% off your baggie order!

Disclosure: Pam from LoveyBums sent me 6 bags total for this post. I kept two to review (total value: $13) and I am personally mailing the other four to the winners at my own expense. Because I love you. My opinions and review are totally my own and were not influenced by free stuff.

SQUEE!!! I love these! Can I tell you how excited I am that you will ship to canadians… the first thing I look for in a giveaway is the “only to 48 states” statement. BAH! YIPPEE!!! Thanks!

  2. Kim says:

I LOVE these! So cute! I need to join stroller strides so I can see cute things all the time!

  3. I would like to enter. I am not spam.

  4. Joy says:

They’re so adorable, I’d love to try one in the hopes that it will tempt T to actually eat – here’s my thought…

Me: “Hey kid look at this totally awesome bag, don’t you want to hold it and eat what’s in it?
Kid: “Yes mom, I do want to hold it on my own and eat everything in that super cool bag, I can’t wait I’m so hungry. Mmmm woooow, thank you Mom for giving me yummy snacks in this eco-friendly, colorful, neat-o baggie! You’re the greatest, I love you!
Me: “Awah sweetie I love you too, you deserve only best!!”

    Now gimmie a baggie!

  5. Sarah says:

It’s a little embarrassing how many of these I ordered the first time around, and we still need more! (Is it still eco-friendly if you have 6000 of them? I guess so long as I’m not throwing away 6000 plastic bags!) The kids keep using mine, because we need So. Many. Snacks. to keep everyone happy. :)

  6. TMae says:

I love all the fun stuff you’re reviewing lately! And, of course, I would like some of my own fun stuff to talk about. Useful fun stuff is a total bonus. :-)

  11. Amy says:

  12. Ashley says:

These look really neat! I love the patterns! Thanks for hosting such a cool give-away!

  13. Other Erin says:

Yay free stuff! Do they seal in a keep-stuff-from-going-stale sort of way? Or is it just for hauling snacks for quick trips?

    • bebehblog says:

They aren’t air-tight so a PB&J left in the baggie gets a little hard-edged by the end of the day. But they do do a great job of not popping open and spilling crumbs all over your purse.

  14. sarrible says:

Okay, I actually want this. To shlep food around the city to keep ME from having a hunger-induced tantrum in the middle of Fifth Avenue that would probably end in me stabbing a tourist with the earpiece of my sunglasses, getting arrested, and spending the night in the Sixth Precinct lockup, AND I wouldn’t even have snacks. You know you want to prevent that.

  15. Ashley says:

I would LOVE to win one we are always running around with ziploc baggies because we don’t have any of these.

  16. Jen F (from Robinson) says:

Oh hai adorable baggies! I solemnly swear that, if I win, I will not let my dog eat these.

  17. StraderSpiel says:

I’m not spam and really want to win!

  18. Terri D. says:

My least favorite household chore is cleaning out the baggies…so instead, they pile up next to the sink for a week until they drive me crazy enough to clean them. These bags look so cool and seem quite convenient!

  19. Suz B says:

How cool & cute are these! I’d love to win either set!

  20. Natalie says:

I want. I’ll love them, and hug them and call them my own. I’ll put goldfish and pretzels and grapes and sandwiches full of peanut butter and jelly inside.

  21. barbra says:

these look super cool!! i would totally use them.

  22. Have you ever wondered how SPAM the canned meat company feels about spam the annoying internet concept? I do, all the time. That said, cute bags!

  23. Donavon says:

Suze, these are adorable! I want them to bring my snacks to work in! I also need lots of snacks to get through a day. : )

  24. super cute bags – and fantastic idea! i find we’ve been wasting a lot of baggies lately when my husband or stepdad take poppy off for an outing, and i need to send a snack along with them. these bags are the perfect answer to that problem. love it!

    xoxoxo!

  25. susan says:

They are so cute! I love them!!

  26. Audrey says:

Ugh..those would be so handy! Enter Me!

  27. MKP says:

Adooooorbs. I thought the blue one had bananas on it, and it made me want it more.

  28. brigidkeely says:

    Those look super cute!

We have a bunch of small plastic containers with snap on lids that we use for cheerios etc, but the problem with them is that 1) Niko likes to hold on to his food container while eating, and I worry about him losing the lid (or the whole container) and 2) they take up the same amount of space when empty they do when full.

  29. raincheckmom says:

What a cute idea! I can use them for doggie treats!

  30. Skipper says:

My life *is* ruined if I have to leave Target without $1000 worth of stuff I didn’t know I needed (also, it is ruined if I do leave with said stuff). Plus, did I mention I’m having another baby in, like, a week? Hello, someone’s three year old needs distracting. With food! Because I am that good of a mother. In short, let me win those baggies, please.

  31. Jennifer W says:

I love the pink and green snack bag. So cute!!

  32. Connie says:

Brody & CJ really need these bags for their SS snacks!

  33. Angela says:

I saw your comment about ads on OneStarryNight and wanted to visit your blog. I am just starting (written 7 whole posts now…lol…) and am enjoying cruising around looking folks up. I would like to use ads eventually, and I have my own domain, I’m just not sure how to make all those widgets work on wordpress. I am trying to do the 31day challenge over at SITS too, but don’t always have enough of my own blog to do the daily activity. I would love to win the snack bags, I have 6 grandbabies, and keeping snacks handy is a must for me. I will be visiting often, thanks!

  34. Merin says:

love the bags! does evan eat a sandwich as a sandwich or does he take it apart?

    • bebehblog says:

He LOVES sandwiches, and eats them sandwich-style. Although he mostly just eats the crust and squishes the rest of it up.

      • merin says:

cora did that, like once. I was so psyched-I thought we crossed into this new eating era, and then it never happened again. I just pull the meat/egg/cheese off and end up eating the bread myself.

  35. Katrina says:

Okay…so I already have 2 of these snack baggies…and what have I learned so far? You can never have too many. And I know eventually my toddler is going to toss one (or both) either out of the window or out of the stroller to be lost forever (and probably found by someone else who’ll say–hey this is a pretty cool little bag!).

  36. Jessica says:

Oooohhhh! I love these! What a cute idea! Maybe Iw ill use them for me at work, and keep buying plastic for the kids! ;)

  37. Kim says:

These are so cute! What a great idea!

  38. Sara says:

ooohhh these are so cute!! love it!

  39. Christy says:

Those are a super idea and really cute. Thanks

  40. I am so glad to hear I am not the only person that washes out plastic baggies. These are an insanely adorable alternative to being miserly.

  41. Jess says:

  45. desiree says:

    Thanks for the giveaway, Suzanne!

  46. Susan says:

I love this concept! I pack my lunch every day and I tried to switch to containers for my foods, but that makes my lunch too bulky and heavy. Plus I have a lot of dishes to wash. These bags would be perfect.

  47. Nicole says:
