If running in circles ever becomes an Olympic sport, he’s golden!

I don’t love bloggers who do tons of videos because I am often scanning blogs on my phone in the middle of the night while nursing a baby, and although reading is silent, videos are not. For some reason, YouTube plays sound even when the phone is on silent so I can’t even watch your kid be adorable with the sound off unless I manage to mute the video on the YouTube frame itself before it blares through the room.

But I’m making today a video day, because in the clip below you will experience:
1. Amazing toddler energy
2. A very confused dog
3. E encouraging yelling
4. Cute plaid pants
5. Shoddy housekeeping
6. Terrible parents who laugh when their kid falls down
7. My incredible iPhone video skills that may give you motion sickness

How can you turn that down? The really good stuff starts right around the 1 minute mark.

I love that Brutus is all “whatever this is normal and this kid is nuts” and baby Caroline seems to care less. Fun times at your house!

  2. MKP says:

D’awwwww – I remember when he was just a lil baby rolling around on that rug!! I like Caroline just bopping along in her chair, unperturbed…

that? is awesome. i’m tired just watching :)

Love the dog’s reaction. When I taught daycare, this age group loved to literally run in circles like this – in mass. I think 10 not-quite toddlers running in mass are scarier than zombies. Certainly faster. I fear my child will be like yours, too cute to discipline.

  5. this is just… i can’t even… BOYS ARE CRAZY!!!

i’m tired just WATCHING this video! like, poppy is literally quietly playing with her dollhouse and feeding herself a granola bar. hahaha! evan is hilarious! i guess sometimes you just gotta run. while screaming.

    (-;

I cannot WAIT to witness this in my own life. Except that my dog will not sit quietly by, she will join in the running in circles. She does it quite well. And since our living room is about 30% smaller than yours, my video will also include footage of the TV being knocked over, I’m sure.

Brutus is the most awesome dog ever. And Evan is cute as hell.

  7. Kimberly says:

OMG This happens at least 5 times a day in our house. Except I don’t have the adorable, patient dog. My bad dog chases/is chased and barks.

  8. Joni says:

    I love toddlers.

    Mostly.

What the heck with the YouTube volume anyway? FAIL. Same thing happens to me.

  9. Amy says:

I have to say… I just love the fact that your dog is completely oblivious to it all. That he’s just, “Yeah, this is what we do. This is the routine.” Man, Evan gets cuter every time I see him.

  10. That was hilarious! :) I’m not sure I’m gonna show it to Reid though…..Oh who am I kidding, of course I’m gonna show it to him, he’s gonna love it!!!

  11. Natalie says:

HA! Had I not had the sound up, I would have SWORE you had sped up the video, Little Evan is fast!

What is it with the daddies egging the kiddos on? Bill does the same thing! But we both laugh when the falls don’t hurt. That much is owed to us, right?

  12. Cole says:

I love how Brutus is just like “whatever.” And how Evan rubs his eyes every time you ask him if he’s tired. Henry would be running circle WITH my until he just ran me right over. This would certainly end in tears because our living room is teeny tiny and someone would probably bang into the coffee table.

Love it! Plus, it’s the first time I hear your voice… kind of makes me feel like I know you better now (that sounds super creepy, no?… I’m such a creep). xo
