We’ve Already Watched The Pirate Fairy DVD 4 Times
I am a member of the Collective Bias® Social Fabric® Community. This shop has been compensated as part of a social shopper amplification for Collective Bias and its advertiser.
Have you seen the previews for The Pirate Fairy yet? If you have kids, I’m going to assume you have in fact seen the previews for The Pirate Fairy. More than once. I think we started seeing them before Christmas and I’ve been acutely aware of when the DVD release is (April 1st! Which is now! Now! It’s out now!!!) ever since.
Thanks to #CollectiveBias and their #ProtectPixieHollow campaign the gingers and I picked up our copy at Walmart the day it came out. I am a HERO.
Because Pirates and Fairies are two of the favorite dress up characters in our house, of course we turned our shopping trip into an event. Since Evan’s pirate birthday is in TWO DAYS any excuse to wear his costume is exciting.
Our shopping cart became our magical flying pirate ship and we sailed through the store to find our treasure: The Blu-Ray/DVD/Digital HD copy with bonus Pixie Hollow Bake Off DVD!!
We successfully escaped with the booty and flew home (in our very magical minivan) to watch The Pirate Fairy for the first time. And the second time.
The other Tinker Bell movies are already pretty high on our favorite-for-repeat-viewings list, and this one is no exception. Without spoiling it for anyone, this is technically a prequel in the world of Peter Pan and both the kids and I got a kick out of the origin story that’s revealed. Is that too vague? I am unsure if anyone is going to actually be mad that I ruined some of the plot of a fairy movie? I’m imagining hate emails if I say too much, so I’m sticking with vague.
Let’s just say the pirate crew has some familiar faces. Also, one of the pirates is voiced by Tom Hiddleston. And he sings.
We tend to watch our movies very…actively. Caroline decided she didn’t like Zarina, the Pirate Fairy, as much as she liked Tinker Bell so it required a costume change. And dancing.
The gingers give the movie (and the extra Bake-Off DVD) four stars and want to know why we aren’t literally watching it right at this moment. We will probably use it to distract them while I make the cake Saturday morning and then again after the party when all our friends are leaving and they need to burn off some sugar before bed.
Yo ho ho and blue pixie dust for everyone!
