IT'S A BOY!

by bebehblog on November 6, 2008

Suck it, doubters, I was totally right! I have the ultrasound pictures to prove it – there is no doubt about the hot-dogginess of this baby. It is pretty weird though to think that I’ve grown a penis.

Now I need a cute nursery idea. I was going to do under the sea but most of the stuff I’ve seen is kind of ugly. I’m not a big enough sports fan to do football or baseball, and I am DEFINITELY not doing scarlet and gray. Suggestions are appreciated!

I get no choices, my husband is a “II” so baby will be the III. Evan is a nice name though, so I don’t mind.

Very nice name! What about SAILBOATS?!

Congrats lady! What kind of nickname will you go with to avoid the “Evan” confusion?

Sailboats or submarines!!!! Maybe not the best ideas, what about a jungle theme and I don’t mean hooker tiger/leopard print I mean circus jungle animals?

Yay! Glad to hear mother’s intuition was right! So with two Es, what will you call Little E? Will your household be called Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band? Sorry, I’m lame.

Evan is a nice name. I kind of hate that you don’t get to pick a name of your own, but hey, that’s one less thing to stress over. :)

So glad to finally know, so I can only imagine how glad you must be! I bet Big E was floating!

Ohh, how about Capital E and Lowercase E?

Do NOT let Daddy E talk you into WOW-themed nursery. Just say no, sister!

I think little E could be called ‘Trip’ for Triple, though that kind of sounds like a Sarah Palin name, doesn’t it?

I second Katie – I think you should do a sailboat/maritime theme!

@stacyinbean .. if you’re going with that idea, you could just do three in another language! Tre or tres. Or you could just call him by his middle name and avoid the confusion.

Or take the Heels family tradition of calling everyone Mac. There are 4 men in the extended family named Bruce, and to avoid confusion .. they all go by Mac.

We did Winnie the Pooh because it was gender neutral. Target has a Classic Pooh design that goes great with green or yellow walls. We decided we didn’t want to spend major money every time we had a baby, and that was a good neutral theme. Plus, it doesn’t ever get discontinued so you can still buy extra stuff for the next baby you didn’t think you would need/want for the first one :)

Yay! I bet you are relieved to know. You should do a sickle/crescent theme in honor of our new socialist overlord.

@Stacy – That PB stuff is adorable but expensive. Kind of like everything from Pottery Barn. I think “Trip” is kind of cute. Who’s Sarah Palin?

@Hal: We looked at the Ahoy Mate stuff today! It’s really cute, I love the little monkey.

@SarahMC: I like red.

I went to college with a guy who went by Trace because he was a The Third. So there’s that. Or you could call him by his middle name. Which I can’t remember right now.

Trace is cute too! My stepdad has been called Zip since he was 8 months old so I LOVE nicknames!

Well congrats! As for a III, we have a family friend that refers to their III as “trey”. (I think I’m spelling that correctly!) You’re giving birth lady, the nickname is YOURS to select.

As for nurseries, check out the ideas on PoshTots. They have fabulous stuff!

Don’t you wanna go with Biff in honor of your Dad! :) “Biff D.” Sounds great, I bet your Dad would love it!

Erin, my dahlin’, you have no need of a fake name. You are fabulous all on you’re own. Muahs!
