My Week(182) in iPhone Photos
I spent the last 3 days attached to my real camera – between shooting and editing and messing around with my equipment it was a very photography filled weekend. I’m totally feeling it tonight though. Taking pictures requires a lot of crouching and stretching and bending and balancing and walking and carrying furniture out into an orchard (ok, maybe you don’t HAVE to do that last one) and I’ve reached critical mass in my pregnancy. Meaning my legs and back are DEFINITELY critical of my mass and shout at me.

I am going on vacation this week. REAL vacation. The kind where I do not have to wipe anyone’s butt or clean up powdered sugar someone has dumped all over the kitchen. Even better, it’s for the Mom 2.0 Summit conference in Atlanta, where I get to see some of my favorite people, meet some writers I really admire and go to fancy parties.
Obviously being 6 months pregnant puts a damper on both cocktails and fancy shoes, but NOT doing mom-stuff for 3 days is just the break I need (so. much. whining.) before I have ANOTHER small person to take care of. I might actually skip half the conference just to sleep and/or eat yummy southern food.

How did you calibrate your camera yourself? Mine is driving me crazy lately, and I don’t know what to do about it.
I bought a program called FoCal. It wasn’t super expensive (around $80? It was in British pounds, I let Paypal do the converting…) but I was trying to do it with a shaky tripod in a darkish room, so it took a few tries. Plus it’s not fully automated with Nikon. But it said my favorite lens was WAY off – which I knew was true, it was making me crazy – and told me what to fine tune to make it sharper. I’m going through yesterday’s session photos today and at 100% crop they are noticeably clearer.
I am insanely jealous of anyone whose children nap in general, but to nap on demand? whoa.
Restaurant suggestion for Atlanta: Mary Macs. DELICIOUS. Not downtown but close to it, I believe. I went in 2012 when I went to Atlanta. Also The Varsity for some yummy fried/fast food.
Also is that Peeps donut from Dunkin’? (I assume so since you live on the East Coast and everything there is Dunkin’ … lol)
I don’t think we even HAVE somewhere to buy donuts that isn’t Dunkin :)
Oh boy! I’m in Atlanta! Welcome!
And speaking of doughnuts you should hit up the Krispy Kreme factory when the fresh and hot sign is on. It take doughnuts to the next level, like way better than dunkin.
looks like a fun week, thanks for sharing the cute photos!
