This is my belly. Please watch with the sound off unless you want to hear my heaving breathing and the local forecast from a couple weeks ago. Posting video is kind of weird and perhaps waaaaaaay more personal than I should get, but I am so fascinated by my baby I no longer have any sense of personal boundaries. I think the difference between my breathing and Baby E’s kicking is pretty obvious, but judge for yourself. If you dare.

So I don’t want to say ‘OMG THAT IS SO WEIRD’ like I’m thinking, because I know that a) it’s not weird at all and b) you don’t want to hear that but OMG, THAT IS SO WEIRD! It must feel even weirder from the inside!
No, I was totally going for that reaction. It’s insanely strange. And the weirdest part is no one ever told me about this! People on tv or in movies can just feel the baby “kick”. You never see their stomach roll and jump. Saying “I can feel the baby move” is in no way sufficient to explain just how much Baby Evan can do.

My friend refers to this as ‘alien belly’ because she says it looks like her baby wants to break out like the creature in Aliens comes out of that guys stomach.
It’s really crazy feeling the/ seeing the movements and I can’t imagine what it will be like when my lil bebeh gets bigger in there. Although last night she was kicking or punching with such force that she actually disturbed my cat who has taken to laying down and leaning on my belly while I lounge on the couch. His look of indignation at my stomach was pretty funny though.
