We’ve had a lot of snow days this year. It’s not terrible. I like getting out of our responsibilities for a day. The worst part is that I have to do the shoveling but I just tell myself it’s a really good workout. Another thing that’s a really good workout is sledding. The third workout I got was getting everyone in and out of their winter gear. I’m exhausted.

I am really enjoying using our stay-at-home down-time to work on my documentary photography skills. I actually signed up for a photography class specifically on that topic that starts on Monday. I’m nervous – the last time I paid for a workshop I quit after 2 weeks because I couldn’t keep up with the assignments (also I was 39 weeks pregnant), but this one was more expensive so hopefully my guilt keeps me motivated. Today we are going to leave the house even if we all freeze to death though, because these children are driving me bananas.

The kids went to school for 2 whole days this week, which was the first week back after vacation. We had Thursday off because it was snowing all day. We have Friday off because the wind is terrible and all the shoveling I did today was useless. Then it’s the weekend again. Hopefully by Sunday we can go back to our regularly scheduled activities because this house is starting to feel REALLY small. I might have ordered 12 different kinds of organizing storage container today because if I have to be trapped inside all the time at least it’s going to be in a clean house.
Here is some of what we did today.

Not that 333 actually represents anything especially meaningful, but it does seem like a ridiculously high number of weeks to have been doing this. When I started I only had ONE KID.
Sunday:
LAND SHARK
Just a few more sink baths before he’s big enough for the real tub
Adjusting my camera, my Sigma Art is still on point
Monday:
And THIS is the grocery store I just finished terrorizing!
Make-up storage
I am officially just an armrest
Tuesday:
Snow Day waffle assistants
Doing some journaling
My husband thinks he’s funny or something
Wednesday:
Not quite spring yet
Library visit
She would have just stayed until they threw her out
Thursday:
Adorable
Linc pretending he’s a big kid
Ignoring the mess because sometimes you just have to
Friday:
Find the hidden toddler
Babies love babies
Linc took 800 photos just like this one
Saturday:
My spring banner is missing it’s flowers. Because children.
Sittin’ baby sits now
Cards and taco dip
Since today is only Friday, I’m now caught up on my weeks. I’ve started putting together stuff about our Disney trip already (the one we aren’t even going on for several more months) because I don’t want to forget all the sites I’ve found super helpful while we’re planning. But reading other people’s vacation recaps is my new favorite thing, so if you have any – or follow someone who has been to Disney and written about it – drop me a link. I could seriously read about standing in line to meet Anna and Elsa all day.

If the goal of the current administration is to make me feel like I’m living in The Upsidedown to the point where I can’t even watch the news anymore, GOOD JOB! Here’s last week, when I was only like, 75% burnt out on everything.
Sunday:
Home Depot trip
Super Bowl party food – made NONE of this
Finn making friends
Monday:
This McD’s is determined not to close, despite the fact that it’s torn apart
Crashed
New wall color in the kids’ room
Tuesday:
Testing out the reading corner
Donut time
She already knows these
Wednesday:
Linc stole my phone and took more pictures
These shoes are on kid #3!
A tiny bear helping me pick paint colors
Thursday:
I’m doing Weight Watchers again. Salad and tuna is my life.
Eyelashes
We got a little snow
Friday:
Sledding day
Too much snow to swing lolololol
It’s a tradition
Saturday:
Breakfast outfit
Snow cream for lunch
Two thumbs up for German Chocolate Cake
Today I cleaned out both dressers in the master bedroom and threw away all my underwear that didn’t fit or wasn’t comfortable. I have like 4 pairs left, but the fact that some of it was from HIGH SCHOOL means it definitely needed to be done. I still have a lot of work in the guest room, Linc’s room and the kid room to do, but at least now I’ve done something for my own benefit. If I keep being this stressed out the house should be totally clean before school gets out.
