Play Place

My BFF Erin and her 7 month old baby Reid came to visit us this weekend. Since I am a terrible friend, I made her go to my workout class on Saturday, let Baby Evan steal all her kid’s toys and then gave Reid the flu. Seriously, I’m surprised she’s still speaking to me. Although if she ever threatened to stop being my friend I could always blackmail her with those photos I have from college. And that’s all I’m going to say about that.

After Stroller Strides but before the puking the babies did have a pretty good time in our mall’s play area. It’s surprisingly nice (considering how crappy the mall is as a whole) with a cushioned floor, not too many people and stuff to entertain kids from crawling to kamikaze face diving running. We’ll be making it a regular part of our routine.

Space, the final frontier. Imma go there in this awesome plane!

I'm so stylish my binkie matches my outfit. My mom pretends it's just coincidence but it's totally not.

All weekend people kept telling us the babies looked like brothers. I think it's just the chubbiness.

This is my pensive face. I'm considering pooping in this car. Oh wait, just did.

This IS playing together. I stomp on the little kid, he licks this giant pig. Hey it works for us.

Oh man! Babies having fun! They are both super cute.

A friend and I took our babies to the zoo months ago. On the way home, people kept asking if they were twins, even though they look nothing alike and one was (to my eyes at least) much older than the other (they were young enough that a few months’ difference in age was very noticeable).

A friend and I were there on Sat. It’s pretty nice place. There is also another kid friendly place in old saybrook called, Stay N Play. It’s 8 bucks but I hear it’s nice. Perhaps one weekend we could get together and go. My friend from work is looking for other new mommy friends as well.

Love the pictures!!! Reid and I had a great time visiting you; even with all the puking. No need to bust out the college evidence :)

This is very strange, considering I just wrote a post on how I was desperate to stay anonymous (still going to try that for my own sake) but I literally stumbled on your blog today from clicking through Babble’s list of top mommy bloggers – and I realized that I recognized the mall because it’s the mall that I go to! Very weird coincidence – just wanted to say hi!

We went to the stay and play in OS today. Loved it!! Super clean, lots of toys, many soft cushy couches to sit on and drink coffee and zone out while baby plays in safe environment with no dogs, outlets, sharp corners, stairs or broken baby gates at top of stairs (apparently a countersink would have been appropriate). I have heard there is a similar place in colchester but don’t know any details. Highly recommend the stay and play (and the Parthenon diner’s curly fries afterwards. All that zoning out made mommy hungry).

  6. Cute pics! I need to find a play place so I can make some baby friends for Ivy – all my friends with kids live far away.

Also: yay for being on Babble’s list of top mommy blogers!
