Should you end up with a staff infection or something worse (ew on both counts) you can stop breastfeeding. But chances are if you're going to a reputable shop that follows proper health code stuff you're not in danger of any of these things. You have your ribs tattooed and I know that was no picnic! But there is something about that thin skin on the wrist that just kills. I think tattoos and breastfeeding are ok because there is no direct link between mom & baby like there is with pregnancy. I also have a husband/son tattoo on my inner wrist- but I didn't think it hurt at all! (Although, I do have both the tops and bottoms of both wrists tattooed. Anyways, I got mine done while breastfeeding and there were no problems. I even breastfed in the shop and no one said anything- so I assume the breastfeeding thing/ no tattoos is a myth! Super cute. The butterfly was actually my husband's idea, although it started as an infinity symbol. But the butterfly stands for new life and beauty, both of which are appropriate for my baby. And YES IT HURT.
