Inspiration Execution
Thanks to Pinterest (don’t know what that is? I recommend this brilliant how-to-use Pinterest post written by a very talented blogger)(spoiler alert: it was me) I’ve been inspired to make a bunch of stuff recently. Or at least attempt to make a bunch of stuff. I’m having some extreme spray-paint related angst. I am TERRIBLE at spray painting stuff. It’s a really debilitating condition, like people who can’t park straight or say “supposably”. So I gave up on a few ideas and wandered around Michael’s Crafts staring at other kinds of paint until I was struck with new, better ideas. I think I’ve used up all my crafting energy for the next month and a half though so don’t worry about me trying to turn this into a craft blog.
Here are my successful non-spray paint related crafts from this weekend:

Inspiration for some of the projects found here on my Crafty Pinterest board.
Now, does anyone have any suggestions for turning a plain beige metal filing cabinet into something prettier? AND DON’T SAY SPRAY PAINT.

I was planning on doing a similar post at the end of the week! Balloon wreath… homemade potato chips…. thank you card. Pinterest will be the death of me. Or keep me busy for the next few weeks.
ohmygoodness, those crafts are too awesome!!
Ahhhh, love! How about some decoupage for your filing cabinet? Or cover it with a lovely wallpaper? Both are easy and work great in square or rectangular objects. Plus, no spray painting is involved.
I love that scrabble photo. Totally addicted to Pinterest :)
You made one of the scrabble things! I’ve been wanting to, but I need to decide what it should say. The stamps are cute too.
I looooooooooooooove those button stamps – that is so freaking bril I can’t even stand it. My brother has a ludicrous cork collection, and I have a weakness for button bags at flea markets. Hmmmm…
Dude, does Martha know you’re nipping at her heals?
Love those! Especially the painting. I always frame Matt’s abstract colorful things from school. It’s kind of scary how well they go with the rest of the house.
I loooooove the painting! And you are so brave to paint inside with your toddler! I can’t even use crayons without issue.
I covered my uglyfile cabinets in my classroom with contact paper. You can use the clear stuff & put pics underneath, or just get a pretty pattern. It’s not as permanent & polished looking as decoupage, but a heck of a lot faster.
Love your cork creations – and you have good taste in wine. My wedding was at Jonathan Edwards :-).
I love the little button stamps. There might be some of those in our future. I also have a giant bare wall in my kitchen that I want to be a spot to display small child art work, but haven’t decided on something that is easy to change out and looks nice as well. Might have to look farther into that. I second the decoupage or contact paper solutions for your filing cabinent.
