Fisher Price Moments Of Joy {$100 Gift Card Giveaway}

As a mom, there are so many moments of joy in my day.

moments of joy

There are the firsts – first smile, first steps, first snow. There are special occasions – birthdays, holidays, meeting their great-grandparents. And there are the everyday moments that send you running for your camera or grabbing your phone so you can capture them – spontaneous sibling hugs, funny faces, crazy messes.

Fisher-Price (yep, the toy company you know and love) has created a new site to share all of those moments.

moments of joy website

You can upload from your computer, Facebook, or Instagram easily on the website. There’s also an app (available now for iPhone and soon from Google Play) so you can capture and share right from the camera you have with you more than any other – your cell phone. After you upload your moment to the site you can share it via email, Facebook or Twitter so your mom doesn’t get mad at you for missing something important in her grandchildrens’ lives. They thought of everything!

There’s something about browsing through everyone’s special moments that’s just…nice. There are tiny newborn babies. There are toddlers learning to walk. There are older kids on their first sports teams. There’s sleeping, laughing, eating, playing, family, friends, and joy – all things that unite us as parents and humans. I might have gone through and “loved” dozens of photos over the last few days and enjoyed it immensely.

Check out the Moments of Joy Facebook Page or the Moments of Joy site itself to give it a try for yourself.

From now until December 20th, 2012, when you upload a moment (picture, video or story) to the Moments of Joy site you’ll be entered in the Fisher-Price Moments of Joy Sweepstakes. Five weekly winners will be selected at random to receive a $100 gift card each, and one grand prize winner will be selected at random to win up to $1,000 of Fisher-Price toys!

Or hey, how about I give one of you – my lovely friends – a $100 AMEX Gift Card, just for leaving me a comment on this post telling me about your moment of joy. I’d love if you shared a moment on the Moment of Joy site  and left me a link but it’s not mandatory.

$100 AMEX Gift Card will be provided by Fisher-Price. I was compensated for my time spent checking out their site and writing this post but all opinions are my own. Both my giveaway and the Moments of Joy Sweepstakes are open to legal US residents of legal age in their state. Official rules for the Moments of Joy Sweepstakes are available on their site

Our 6 month old has been discovering cause and effect. We recently spent 20 minutes picking up a cereal box that she would then joyfully and mischievously knock over with a look of amazement on her face when it fell. My husband and I were almost in tears laughing by the end.

  2. Mego says:

When P sees us, he makes the best face ever. He looks so excited to see us again & baby runs right into our arms.

  3. Rachael H. says:

My moment of joy is my siamese cat greeting us at the front door every day without fail :)

  4. merin says:

Oh, aren’t they all moments of joy? Like when Camille is splashing in the toilet or Cora is throwing a fit about walking the dog. No? That’s not what you’re looking for?

  5. Mary Happymommy says:

My 3 year old daughter was recently very excited to help decorate the Christmas tree. I took her picture and the look on her face was priceless.

  6. Joanna says:

My most recent moment of joy was yesterday. Madison had bee telling us she wanted a Pogo stick for Christmas. I wasn’t sure where that came from and after trying to figure out how she knew about them she looked at me serious as a heart attack and said “Lucas, Mommy. Lucas just told me all about the pogo sticks at school today.”

So basically I’m writing this from the grave because it was the cutest thing ever.

  7. Kelly D says:

Our moment of joy is when my kids are playing together and laughing.

  8. Erin says:

My two year old sitting under the baby gym with my four month old and giving him his pacifier. Then ripping it out and putting it back in. Rinse, repeat.

  9. I love sister hugs and kisses. Your fisher price pictures make me think of the first time I managed to capture Adriana giving Lucia a sweet kiss on the cheek – Lucy was in her my little lamb swing.

  10. Brigid Keely says:

My husband works long hours, and at least 2 days a week he totally misses bedtime because he’s working. He’s also, lately, been spending the weekend out of state helping his dad with a huge project. This means our 3 1/2 year old has been very low on seeing his dad AND his djedo (grandfather). Nesko came through the door the other day and Niko’s face just LIT UP. He dropped everything he was doing and ran pell mell over to his dad and gave him a big hug and tried to climb up him to give him more hugs. That was pure joy, right there.

  11. Audrey says:

lol! I had that same moment when Everett randomly wrote MoM on his doodle board. I was like….WOAH. My amazement has had him writing it ever since. I think it was the ease of the letter forms that made it happen, though. lol!

    Moment of Joy –
My 6 year old Joey climbed into bed with me the other night at about 3 am. My husband had already started our typical musical beds routine and was already asleep with our daughter who woke up crying earlier. So, I had the king size bed to myself until Joey climbed in. He decided to lay on top of me. I said, “Joey you have the whole bed why are you on top of me?” And he said, “I didn’t come in here to have the whole bed, I came to snuggle with you!”
