11 Weeks
Alternate title of this post: Maybe this time around I’ll actually remember to tag my posts in such a way it doesn’t take me three weeks to find them.
I started this here little bebehblog the day I found out I was pregnant with Baby Evan. I’m actually incredibly thankful for that now, since going back to read about how stuff happened last time is both fun and reassuring. The looking back is NOT so fun when I realize that this is what I looked like at 10-ish weeks during my first pregnancy:
And now, this is what 11 weeks looks like:

Also for the record, This is actually my other side. I flipped the picture so it was easier to compare. That tattoo is pre-babies.
It’s actually even worse when I wear clothes:

Not a maternity dress. The good news is that dress didn't fit at ALL a few months after I had Baby Evan, so getting into it - especially pregnant - was a happy moment. P.S. I bought it in Paris. I thought you should know. P.P.S. Please ignore the toilet paper holder. Bathroom self portrait.
Important less learned from my previous pregnancy: I’m going to have my maternity photos taken at a much earlier, cuter date instead of waiting for 35+ weeks when I was all swollen and puffy. I lost contact with the girl who did them last time (we were MySpace friends and my account is LONG gone) so if anyone in Connecticut has a recommendation let me know. Although I should mention now I’m not in any position to spend $1200 just for the rights to the digital prints. I learned that lesson the hard way.
I read a saying awhile ago and I forget where, but it was basically:
First pregnancy you give up your regular clothes to wear your maternity clothes as soon as possible.
Second pregnancy you wear your regular clothes as long as possible to avoid wearing maternity clothes
Third pregnancy, your maternity clothes ARE your regular clothes!
Not that that is supposed to make anyone feel all warm and fuzzy…but the good news is that your body also remembers how to shrink back down after baby comes.
Would you consider letting me do them???
Or at least give me a try and if you don’t like them then you could get somebody else to do it and it wouldn’t have cost you anything….?
Of course I’d love for you to do them! You’re just not exactly local, so we’d have to schedule a visit. And I need you to be super bossy about it and tell me when I look stupid. Oh and you’d have to boss E around too, since I want some of him looking lovingly at my pregnant belly. He has no idea how to do that.
I can do all of those things!!! :) And I will just have to come for a visit and then we can do the pictures. You know how much I hate coming to CT but I guess I could make the sacrifice for you. JK. Just name the day. I can promise that it would awesome. PROMISE! I have lots of ideas already.

A woman with 2 kids has chronicled pregnancy week by week including what was different with her in both pregnancies.
You look adorable! And pregnant – which is a good thing… I’d rather look pregnant than just squishy any day! :)
I’m not sure where in CT you are, but a family member has a photography studio in Hartford, he does pregnancy/baby shoots (along with other stuff). Not sure how expensive he is, but maybe he’d give you a break if I asked really nicely?? You can check out his stuff at http://www.tabphotographic.com or he has a FB page.
Btw, LOVE the bump (AND the dress!!)
I have a friend who can do your maternity pics. Here’s her facebook website. She has an album there when she did someone elses maternity photos.
